Hey all,
I couldn't get into the Red Lion or the Hilton, so I made a reservation at the Spring Hill Suites. I am from Seattle and I have never been to Vancouver before, so I was wondering if someone could help me with some logistical items.
This is the address of the Spring Hill Suites
SpringHill Suites Vancouver Columbia Tech Center
1421 SE Tech Center Dr
Vancouver, Washington 98683
Could anyone who is local/ knows the area well tell me how far this is from the convention? Can I walk it? Is there a bus/shuttle I can take? I would be really grateful for any advice/answers
Thank You

I was thinking of staying there too but its 10 miles from the convention so I decided against it.

Thank you. It looks like I am going to have to cancel the reservation, but I would like to find something else first. Does anyone know if there is anything closer. I tried the other hotel listed on the website, but it was booked as well.

I settled on the Quality Inn and Suites, which is 3.5 miles away. The Comfort Inn is closer, but is $140.00 a night and I am flying solo. I am hope this information is helpful to others.

There is a shuttle provided by the SpringHill Suites. I don't know the hours, though.

After a lot of back and forth on this, I decided to stay with the Spring Hill Suites. They offer a shuttle as well. I also might just put a rental car in my budget. I am treating this weekend as my vacation, arriving on Friday, and leaving Tuesday, so I might as well splurge.

Downtown Vancouver is rather limited, Red Lion, Hilton, Econo Lodge and Comfort Inn are the only things downtown.
The next closest would be Hayden Island across the river, there is usually alot of bridge traffic, but being a holiday weekend, hopefully it wont be too bad.
After that there are some hotels on Hwy 99, however some are pretty rough if you dont go with a chain.
There are several hotels down by the Mall area by I-205, getting pretty far out there

about 2.7 miles walking, you can also catch the #6 bus right outside the hotel to Janzten Beach, and only have to walk about a mile across the bridge to the con

I'm booked at the Portlander Inn as well, and thinking about just driving across the bridge and paying for parking. I'd be open to carpooling with someone (my car or theirs) to defray costs.

There's a marriot up by the mall and for you cheapoe's, a sleezy screw motel on 99th st. Pretty cheap though.

hwy 99 ;)

I booked at Portlander too and I have open spaces for people who need room!
