Title: Kumori meetup 2013
Post by: Caceres on June 19, 2013, 10:58:39 am
So I found an old post about a kumoricon singles meetup from last year and thought maybe we should try again? why not right?
I can understand how setting a time doesnt work, But I like the idea of having hearts on your badge if your single/interested an think It could really work. If you see somebody with a heart on their badge an think "wow he/she is cute" then go say hi, :)
Pink heart = interested in girls,  Blue heart = interested in guys, Green heart = interested in eaither/ or both, Peace sign = just friends
What do you think about it?

I participated last year and it didn't seem to work.  (I was all over the con and did not really see anyone with stickers)  I heard similar from other forum people and ONLY forum people seemed to have went along with it.  (Because no one else knew about it)  However, if you want to try, I don't see how it could hurt.  *shrugs*

Would it be easier to do a meet up like before con. Ya know so people could get use to the idea and maybe meet people that would wanna hang out at con. Cause I've been new before and not knowing anyone sucks. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a plan. I live near Oregon city but it wouldn't be hard to get anywhere in Portland. Any suggestions?

If I'm able to come to the con I'll be putting a pink heart on my badge. Not sure if I'll go to any kind of meeting because odds are that would be kinda awkward.

You probably won't see many participants of the heart thing until it becomes a trend, which means the concept needs to be much more public and open.

How many people do we need for this to be a "trend"?

Just curious. :)
