Anyone one else cosplaying from Shingeki No Kyojin this year? So far my goal is to cosplay Sasha....or some generic soilder. I am planing on having all the equipment as well. I think it would be fun to make.

Awesome! I'm debating whether to do kid Mikasa or older. Considering my height it might be easier I do the kid XD
I would love to see progress on the equipment though! A friend of mine plans to help me make mine.

I will make sure to take lots of pictures. I going to start paterning out pieces tomorrow then work on cutting parts out of craft foam and piecing things together. Next pay day I will get the rest of the materials.

My friend is going to do the equipment out of wood then my dad will use metal sheets to cover it to make it look more realistic. Yours will be much lighter than mine XD

A bunch of us are working on a huge group right now :) I'm working on Annie (All I need now is the jacket, gears and wig ^.^) I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS :DDD

Do we want to do a photo shoot/gathering? I currently have one costume set for Sunday for the contest so Saturday or Monday would be ideal for me. What about you guys?

Thanks Yume! I got another picture last night (not sure if thats the one you were talking about or not) I added an extra hole in my leg straps and now they aren't too tight and stay up. I also got white jeans yesterday....so if anyone is looking Old Navy is where I got mine and they are perfect.

I still need to get a more gray top for Sasha (thats my Mikasa top, though I may get one that fits better), I still need to get boots, and I need to shorten the sleeves for my jacket.
And of course make the 3D MG but that is going to take much longer than my simple fixes XD

Wow Nikki! It's turning out amazing! I cannot wait to the gears though! Mine wont be worked on until late July due to my dad having to go overseas.
I decided that I'll just do Armin. I have no plans on Saturday that I know of., so it sounds fine with me. Just need the time and area that we will be doing this xD

I'm not too sure on the area. In the park or by the clock tower would be cool. Or over by the fountain with all the raised areas.

I got some work done on my 3D MG this weekend. Its coming along quite nicely.
Since no one has said anything lets plan for Saturday at the clock tower. Does noon sound ok? Since its the first day that will give people a chance to get their badges.

I really like the jeans they have there. They even have skinny leg ones which would be perfect for putting in boots. I suppose I should have gotten those....but I just don't like the feel of skinny leg jeans, so I got the boot cut.

Me too. I can't fit into skinny legs because my legs aren't skinny. =_=;; My thighs are considered "full". I fit into their "Sweetheart" style (tried on Rockstar and Diva, they were out of Flirt which may have worked too.)

I'm going as Mikasa and will be with a group that is cosplaying Sasha, Armin, and hopefully Eren as well. Is anyone else making 3-D maneuver gear?

YAY More of us! I am working on my gear right now. I haven't taken a picture recently but I got one from this weekend. Here are my gas tanks and swords as of Sunday.

Currently both handles are painted black and have the checker pattern. I got spray paint today and tonight I will paint the blades and the other parts silver. Then I just need to add the details on the blades and the raised edge on the end of the handles (assuming my plasti-dip isn't harden) then I can add the cords and they are done! I am also going to work on the belt and the things that shoot out the anchors tonight while waiting for paint to dry. Then on Friday I will order my magnets and once they get here I can continue work with my scabbards.

I just got my boots today so clothes wise I am done. All that is left is to finish the gear. I am slowly trekking along with that too. The swords are just about done and tomorrow I should be able to get close to finishing another part. I should be able to get the cylinder on the back and the anchor shooters done tomorrow and ready to go. Then all that will be left is the scabbards.

I'm going as Rico for sure, and hotarruk13 may go as Hanji since she's trying to order the cosplay right now but is unsure if the cosplay is coming in or not. For the Titan, my friend changed his mind since he wouldn't be able to make the whole thing on time.

I'm pretty sure Ymir can go, as that is her only cosplay. My problem is my other cosplay groups aren't telling me/don't know what days those will be.....

I won't be able to go to the shoot (unless it was an hour/hour and a half later) , but on Saturday I will be going as Carla Jaeger!!! Nothing too serious, I'm planning on carrying around a sign that has one of those Googlemaps locations pins on them with"A titan's mouth" written next to it ^o^ But anyways I can't wait to see you all!!

Gonna be Eren! Plans for when are really vague right now except that I'll be him most of Day 1.
Otherwise just depends on how I feel about 'im.
Despite valiant efforts, I will not have the 3DMG for kumoricon /angry shonen tears
