I all ready doing some planing but I have a question, as the Guest of honor list firms up how do I ask for some of their time to speak to our humble group?
-
That is something you'll have to talk to the Guest Manager and the Relations Manager about. They're the ones that officially work with the guests and help plan out what they're doing during the weekend. I would suggest emailing relation (at) kumoricon (dot) org and asking them if it would even be possible to happen. :)
-
You could also ask them in person, in the event that you're planning on attending a general meeting. There will be one later this afternoon in Vancouver, and another one in February. Currently, the date is slated as the 9th, in either Salem or the Portland/Vancouver area.

Furlandia is over so Its time for me to give my attention to the Otaku over 25 panel
I have a few ides but I open to any suggestion or there will be a open mic to brig them up.
Animeman73 I tired to contact you by email please PM me asap.
I also maybe looking for one or more fellow panelist one of them a cosplayer to share ideas.
-
I could do that. I helped out with this panel last year, and a couple of times at Sakuracon.
-
Washougal_Otaku and Animeman73 please contact me privately I do like to set up for a pre con lunch meeting in August. Because of the schedule on Sunday I would like you cover the first 15 minutes if needed.
AS for other older fans is there any subject you want us to cover ore just bring it to the panel.
-
We should definitely go over our subject materials beforehand. I like the idea of an-August time meet-up. I'd like to recommend the 18th, simply because it'll be a few days after my paycheck.
Also, what kind of things were requested for the panel? I'm assuming at least one microphone (though more would be ideal), but if it's possible, perhaps we could also get a projector. This way, one of us could make a slideshow presentation about our subjects.
-
I'd be curious to attend this panel, as a +25 Otaku :) Afraid I wouldn't be able to commit to helping to host, though. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!
-
We look forward to seeing you there!
-
I'm 26 now, and I could attend this. :)
-
Awesome! The more, the merrier!
Actually, the panel is open to anyone of any age; the title just implies the subject material focuses on us "older" otaku.
-
If you want help, I'm up for it.
-
acton is the one to talk to about that, but it's fine with me.
-
Hey folks Animeman73 here. I had a talk with Acton and it's official I'll be joining him and Washougal_Otaku for Otaku over 25. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you there. Oh and just so everyone knows. People under 25 ARE welcome at the panel.
-
Thanks for all you had attended and especially thinks for fellow panelist Animeman73 and Washougal Otako . Next year it will be bigger and longer.
-
Great panel, looking forward to seeing it again ^_^
-
Hey folks ANimeman73 here. i recorded most of Otaku 25 and Older and plan on putting it on my Youttube channel. Keep an eye on this thread and the forums for the link. Coming soon.
-
Great panel, looking forward to seeing it again ^_^
Thank you!
-
Oh absolutely you'll see it again Sithicus. I'm hoping to have this panel at Kumoricon next year and I'll be bringimg this panel back to Sakuracon next year. And for those of us who are 25 and over we nmeed to expand this panel to other conventions. We need to let the older anime fans know there's a ploace they can go to where they can talk and bonmd with their fellow older anime fans. We need things like this. And if i have anything to say about it, I'm going to see this is turned into a movement in the anime community.

This was the first time in years that this panel was held outside of the AMV Contest and show block, and so, the first time I was able to attend.
It was nice to meet everyone, and thank you for having me on the panel. I look forward to meeting agian next year if the schedule permits.
-
If it's outside the AMV contest then we'd be happy to have you. Oh and as yto your comments about reality T.V. you're talking to someone who' strongly believes, "Down with sur-rality T.V. ALL HAIL THE ANIME REVOLUTION!"
