Hey lovely Kumoricon people,
So for a fanart crossover piece that I will most likely try and enter into the Kumoricon 2013 fanart contest, I was thinking of taking a bunch of scientists/ researchers from various animes and drawing them all interacting as if they had to work together on an experiment.
The problem is, I've been drawing blanks as to who would work in the picture. They'd have to be crazy enough to be actually interesting, but not so insane that I couldn't maintain the character's personality without killing the other characters in the picture.
Ones I have so far thought of:
Definitely going to include:
Dr. Franken Stein from Soul Eater
Verde from Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Rintarō Okabe from Steins;Gate
Dr. Thunderland Jr. from Tegami Bachi
Might include:
Shinra Kishitani from Durarara!!
Komui Lee from D Grey Man.
If anyone can think of any other characters that would work (and tell me what anime/ manga they are from, and possibly give me a brief summary of the character) or give me any input whatsoever that could help me with drawing the picture (i.e suggestions on perspective, input on how you think the characters would be interacting with eachother, telling me that this is a terrible idea and I should scrap it immediately, etc), would be much obliged! Thanks!

Dr. Tofu from Ranma 1/2
Dr. Tomoe from Sailor Moon
Elder Edward Hamilton from Chrono Crusade
Dr. Schtalubaugh from El-Hazard: The Wanderers
Washu from Tenchi Muyo
Rezo the Red Priest from The Slayers
I hope to get to see this once it's complete!

Professor Oak from Pokemon Adventures

Thank you very much!
You're welcome!

How about Mayuri Kurotsuchi from Bleach? He's a scientist, and he's failry interesting and quirky, not to mention potentially psychotic.

Good suggestion, but I've already got the 11 I'm going to include planned out/ mostly drawn. I don't really have room for any more. Thank you though!

Really? No one on these?
Dr. Gero (DB and DBZ)
Dr. Myuu (DBGT)
My 2 favs lol Well, next to Stein..But then again, He IS also in DBZ/GT so I guess it sorta fits lol

Nichijou has a 'Professor' character whom I don't think is ever addressed by name in the show.
The androd she build (Nono) calles her 'はかせ' ( Hakase ) but that just means 'Professor.'
But she's an airhead in the show.
If you want to reach back into older anime, you have Washuu from Tenchi Muyo
and also Akagi Ritsuko from Evangelion.

^ I'm a little surprised to see that BULMA made the list...
-
Moyashimon, Tales of Agriculture is centered around students and faculty at Agriculture University. The series focuses heavily on microbes.
-
Professor Oak from Pokemon Adventures
Well, ANY of the regional professors. Plus Colress and Charon.
-
I'm a bit late to the party but what about Dr. Marcoh and Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist? This sounds like it'll be a great picture by the way! :)

Why WOULDN'T Bulma make it? Or her Father Prof. Briefs.... and who is it who created Aralee?
OK, then, I might also humbly submit Dr. Zoidberg, unless you all think that the Simpsons isn't ANIME enough for this forum.
