For those interested, I can rent a small meeting room at the La Quinta in NW Portland (at the junction of Yeon, Kettridge, and NW St. Helens) for $80 for a Sunday afternoon, such as noon to 6pm. There's a convenience store across the parking lot with a Subway built in, so people can duck out for snacks and sustenance.
If we get 15 votes before 3-Oct-12 then I'll guess we should have at least 5 interested people.
(So plan on chipping in $16 each or less.)
Pick TWO dates.
This will be a clinic to bring projects, think up ideas, try out software and hammer out glitches.

I'm going to school full-time and working part-time so I'm on a REALLY tight schedule & budget. If it was during a term break or summer and it was somewhere I could physically get to I'd be interested but I realize that's an incredibly specific and vague set of specifications; which is why I haven't said anything.

Yeah we can have it at my condo, I live in cedar mill. Not that far from sunset transit for those taking max, and not that far from 26 for those that drive.
I can pm ppl my address that don't know already.
(also, I don't know if library rooms are free or not would need to check.)

if we were booking it on behalf of kumoricon it could be free. But for private use it looks like it isn't. I think the hotel guy mentioned is cheaper to rent sans that fact.

I just wanted to thank Paul for hosting the event as his place yesterday and Guy for showing up giving us some new ideas on things to try.
