This has changed lol I love bubble tea! And would like to chat with fellow con-goers =3 new friends is always a plus!

There are usually other drinks besides coffee on the menu in a cafe. Like hot chocolate and tea =3
And you are about the same distance from Portland that I am lol Salem is about a 45 minute drive away.

there was this coffee house by the Library downtown but i dont remember its name, but it had really good coffee, also here in downtown Milwaukie there is this new coffee house that has some pretty good coffee too, they show the schools art as well so its very community based

Hmmmm I was also thinking about Bubble Tea... I might change this and havea meet at the Fuban Market because I love Bubble tea and they have pretty good Bubble tea.

There are a bunch of places that have bubble tea now. I am a fan of bubble bubble in Beaverton, though I'm not quite sure where you guys have in mind.

I might be able to come if I can get adequate directions. According to google it doesn't seem close to the MAX line, so I wouldn't want to get lost, I don't drive so I would be relying on public transport/walking. But it also depends on the day too, I am going to be busy this weekend (sat/sun).
And cosplay sounds fun.
Also I don't know if I've had crepes.

I'd love to do this with you guys. I was really disappointed when you said coffee in Salem.. I live in Portland. But I love coffee or bubble tea, and I could totally do something around Lloyd! (very easy to MAX to, though not free anymore :P ) Let me know when you firm up a place and time, and I'm there ;)
And I love crepes.. though I shouldn't eat them :\ ^How can you have never had crepes? Thin little pancakes filled with fruit or cream like sweet little burritos? Yummy... Of course, dedicated crepe places fold one giant one and serve it in a little triangle wrapper. Still delicious and more fun to eat. Making me hungry.... :D

I have only been to one place out in Tualatin and Chit Chat in downtown Portland. Chit Chat is amazing, but I'm down for anywhere. I would be taking public transit most likely also, if I can make it.

I wasnt actually insinuating it be in salem I was just giving examples of coffee places other than starbucks that I knew about. ^^;

I can do anything on those days, but this friday i have a panel meeting with some panelests at 4 but since thats in portland too i dont see why i couldnt do both

I would love to join you guys but I'm pretty busy so probably can't :( be nice to know more Anime fans. However I do have a suggestion. Try out Mojo crepes it's right next to Fubon on division and 84th. They have Japanese style crepes, Japanese style hot dogs, and bubble tea.

^ I think I've been there before it was pretty good. I only had their bubble tea though I would love to try their crepes.
Does anyone have a preference between days next week?
I cant do Tuesdays or Thursdays because of kickboxing but any other day is fine with me.

Weekdays are pretty free for me, weekends not so sure but I cannot do Sundays because the bus from my house doesn't run on sundays.

Looks like I may be a little late to the party, but I'd love to grab some coffee/tea and meet a few new anime friends as I am still relatively new to the area. If this happens this week, I could potentially make it on Wed or Fri, but it would depend on precisely when it is. Any thoughts on what time of day would work best? This week, late afternoon / early evenings are best for me. If it ends up not happening until some later date, that's fine too. At any rate, I'll keep an eye on this thread for more info.

Great! I'll be able to make it, but I won't be in costume since I'm coming straight from a school meeting. I'll have my 3DS/Vita with if anyone else has one that they would like to bring (Streetpass tags are fun even if we don't play anything).

We might end up going to the same beach! :p I'm going to Rockaway Beach. Well I'm looking forward to meeting some of you guys. At con I was staffing so really didn't get a chance to meet anyone besides a few people in panels. I don't have a cosplay so I hope that is alright >_<

I'm going to spend time with some friends in Lincoln city so I'm not actually spending much time on the beach. Its fine if you dont have cosplay ^^ I'm only wearing one so I'm easy to spot. I will either be in Juliet, or Sailor Venus depending on how cold it is and how self conscious I am feeling.

It'll be my first time to the beach this summer. So excited I might so skinny dipping in the ocean! :p Only been to Lincoln City once and it was during the winter T_T. You go as Venus and I'll go as Mars hahah

Bummer. Looks like this may be a fairly small group, but that's okay too. I'm always down for doing stuff like this again. I may get there a bit early today and do some work. I'll have a neko bus hoodie, so I won't be super hard to spot, but by that same token, I can't imagine having any difficulty spotting a Sailor Senshi.

@Tsukinya ~ yeah its just that my weekend was busy that's why I made it then >.< but most of my weekends are going to be busy now because I work at a haunted house here in Salem that opens every weekend starting on the 12th of October.

^Unfortunatly I cannot get you in for free. Besides the Haunted house proceeds go to the Oregon School For the Deaf. Its good charity.
but as long as we have this meet up early enough in the afternoon I would be able to go up to portland. I just have to leave portland by 2

I'd be interested in a Bubble tea meetup! I'm available after 530pm most days, anytime on Wednesdays (so if it was in Salem that would be the day).
I work full time so my schedules limited but I know of some great places!
In Beaverton there's Bubble tea Bubble which is closest to me, They have a sister store at the Fubonn Market in Clackamas (theres also that asain crepe shop/blue sky bubble up a couple blocks from there), I know a place in Downtown Portland that serves alcoholic bubble tea ;) I like Salem but I would have to trust you fine people because I don't know the area too well.

Would Gaia Java be a good place to meet up on Day 0? I saw on their menu that they do have bubble tea, among other things, and they're actually just a couple blocks from the Hilton.

Oh my friends and I are going to hang out on Day 0, though we're heading back to Portland, there's a little cafe by the place we're eating at called Chit-Chat Cafe. Has an amazing variety of bubble teas (Iced, Smoothie, AND Hot 8D)
We're gonna stop by there after we eat Sushi, so we love to see fellow cosplayers there as well~

I wouldn't be able to go to a bubble tea meet on Day 0 though. Not only does my car not have AC but I have just too much to do and sleep to have before I leave at 4-5am the next day... X_X Is there any other time? The last day perhaps?
