This thread is for tracking, posting, and replying to suggestions for board-elected board positions. This first post will be updated as the status changes. This post will list any person who has been suggested (accepting is not necessary), however, anyone may request that they be removed from this list for consideration. You can request removal by posting in the thread, or by emailing board-elected@kumoricon.org (this email address will forward to the current Chair as well as myself). Requesting such removal does not preclude changing your mind later. People may post in this thread to suggest candidates, and those suggested may respond with their level of interest.
The Annual Meeting of the Board is held shortly after the Annual Meeting of the Membership (usually two to three weeks afterward). At the Annual Meeting of the Board, the five board members who are member-elected vote to elect the other four board members. The board may elect any person, not limited to those on this list, and being listed or suggested here is not the application process. Later, applications will be solicited for board-elected positions. Please make sure to watch for these applications, and apply, if you are seeking a board-elected position.
If you intend to apply for a board-elected board position, please verify that the email address on file with your staff account is current: Go to https://www.kumoricon.org/staff-login and log in. Then, click Staff management, and Update your personal details.
Suggested people are listed alphabetically by last name.

I'd like to not be considered for any Board suggested positions, but instead communicate to the Vice and Facilities candidates that I am interested in serving under them as an assistant.

Hiya Jeff? I remember there was a chart that had con positions their expected duties are ? Is that still on the site some where?

We do have this, but it just so happens we have not written descriptions for the executive positions. The positions list is at:

For a rough description of the duties of the board-elected positions, and also the Chair/President, you can look in the bylaws:

The bylaws don't specify the duties for managing directors, but you can infer it by looking at what positions report to them in the Open Positions list (org chart) above.

I would like to suggest John Krall for Facilities Liaison.

I would love to see Barbara Hunt as Treasurer, and Phillip Koop as Facilities Liaison. They have proved they excel in these positions and I think keeping them here would prove for a smooth 2013 con.
