Heyo everyone!~
So Kumoricon 2012 we did have a "Forum Meet-up panel" that... Many didn't show up to. But we still had fun, regardless. But now we are planning to make one for 2013, BUT, we are including the lovely Kumoricon Facebook peoples. We are now going to be "Facebook/Forum Meet-Up Panel"

Now some of our activites were: Introductions (since it was very little people we did both panelist and audience), De-motivational poster contest, spam eating contest, and some awards. (Please correct me if I missed things or got them wrong).
Now, lets start brainstorming for next year~
Any ideas you guys have that we can include into the panel?

Ideas for All-Ages Panel:
We introduce ourselves (Our real name and forum name), and as well say a fun fact about ourselves.
(Depending on how many audience members we get..)
-One of us panelist will be the game master (or if we be cool and got Bresslol to be the game master). The game master will distribute cards with roles on them to all participants. The cards:
- 2 Cards will have "Werewolf" on it, meaning you are a werewolf.
- 1 Card will have "Mercenary" on it, meaning you can protect one person during the night phase.
- 1 Card will have "Seer" on it, meaning you can choose one person and see what their role is.
- The rest of the cards will have "Human" on it, which means..Well.. you're a normal person.
-The Game Master MUST keep track of the roles they gave to whom (mainly just keep track of whose the werewolves, whose the merc, and whose the seer).
-After the cards have been distributed, players will look at their cards, AND NOT tell anyone what their role is. They will keep the cards, but hidden somewhere on them that no one else can see them.
-After the game master keeps record of whose who, and makes sure the game is ready to begin, the Night Phase begins.
NIGHTPHASE:
-During this time, all participants put their head down, and eyes shut. YOU CAN NOT PEAK! That is cheating!
-The game master will call the seer to go first. They will get up, and go around the room and tap who they want. The game master will tell the seer QUIETLY what the person's role is. The seer will then go back to their place, and put their head down and their eyes shut.
-Next the game master will call the mercenary to go. They will get up, and go around the room and tap who they want to protect. The game master will note that, and the merc goes back to their place, head down, and eyes shut.
-Next the game master will call the werewolves to go next, and explain to the audience that if they get tapped, they're dead, unless the mercenary chose them. The two wolves will get up, decide quietly by pointing and gestures of who they want to chose as their victim. They will tap who is the victim, and that ends the Night Phase, and begins the Day Phase.
DAYPHASE:
-Everyone stands up. The person tapped can either act out a dramatic death, or simply just go off to the side and claim "I got killed".
-Then the game master will announce that the voting will begin on who they think is the werewolf. The participants will raise their hands and nominate who they think is the werewolf. The game master will then write down the names, and once nominations end, the voting will begin.
-YOU CAN ONLY VOTE FOR ONE PERSON PER DAY PHASE!! The game master will say the name and you raise your hand if you agree to it. One name with the most votes gets eliminated from the game, then you go back into repeat of Night Phase and Day Phase until you see who wins!
- De-motivational poster game
Choose three members from the audience to come up and create a "de-motivational" poster from the shown picture on the screen. Winner gets a prize, plus their caption actually captioned onto the picture and posted on here.

Yeah the intro was kinda rough. Maybe a straight up intro, and possibly a little fact about us or something. *shrug*

I think the facts should be something either that we're proud of, or embarrassed by. Ooh! Maybe both!

Oh and for panelist, otakunobody wants to be a possible panelist. If it isn't possible, then she said she'd be more then willing to still help out and stuff. I'll also have Nick to help since he's actually going to be at Kumoricon next year since he missed out on this years.

So, the game at the beginning where people were supposed to guess who the person was w/ a random "hint" was sort of hard.
I'm trying to think of an alternative, but I dunno..
Maybe audience members can challenge panelists to a game of rock, paper, scissors (best of 3 or 5)? If they win, they get to be in the "FORUM ROCK PAPER SCISSORS HALL OF FAME", which is just a new post with their name and the fact that they won. Also, possibly something like a box of Pocky. :P
Also, the demotivationals game was pretty good. I think the rules are pretty well ironed out now. So it should go smoother next time.
IMO, it should be:
A brief explanation of the image, followed by 60 seconds to come up with a good title + caption... which seems to be about what everyone settled on for the last 2-3 games.

An ice breaker of a game would be fun. Twister would be a good option, but I recall being told no for a "all ages" panel (ask staff about it). But if you do a 18+ panel, that could be fun. :)

I didn't get a chance to go to the one that happened last Kumoricon, then again... I'm really shy... But hopefully my shy-ness will die down a bit! I'll try to go to this Panel next year!

If it helps you, instead of imagining everyone is in their underwear, imagine they're dressed up like ridiculous fictional (and maybe non-fictional) characters ... oh wait. XD

We could possibly do an 18+ Panel. We would have to figure out possible activities that are different from the all ages panel (Which I don't think would be to hard..XD)
Also, I am linking some footage and pictures of the 2012 panel on the main post. So far I have the Spam Eating contest on there. If you guys have photos or videos of the panel, you can send me links or post them on here and I can add them to the list just for people who want to see. :)

Two separate panels could be a blast! We'd have to come up with ways to clearly separate the two so that the programming department will okay both.

You would submit two different panel forms. Like when I submitted for the Ranger Panel and for the VA & Shakespeare, you just fill out and submit two different forms. Having different titles and descriptions, and making a note of "this is the 18+ version of "_____" panel" in the email helps too.

^ I am already aware of this, but thank you. What I meant is that the department will be wanting enough information that clearly indicates that having an 18+ version as well would be beneficial, or if there should just be one or the other.

Oh, yeah, I can see that being an issue since some meet-ups are held just like the Photoshoot threads are, and aren't in the con-area persay. You could make the argument that an 18+ meetup (if you do one) would be a good idea for those who may not feel comfortable meeting outside in the Park after dark.

So..when should we have our first meeting? Better to plan ahead and early then having anything last minute.

True, but it's still a bit away. Plus, I am unsure of what my schedule will be like coming up soon. I would recommend sometime in November, so as to have ideas for the paperwork beforehand while not conflicting with family holidays, but my anime club will be active by this time, so I don't have an idea on a date.

I posted an idea for doing the Werewolf Game on the first main post. Since I see it has returned on the forums, I figured maybe we can try it at the panel in a different way. It was just an idea that popped in my head during school today. XP

I'm kinda back from.the dead. I'm sorry I've been out of touch. Id love to be a panelist again ^-^ I'm just hopefully going to have a booth set up at AA so I dunno what times ill be available yet.

Officially, no. It was an under the radar sort of thing, done simply for "nostalgia" purposes. I think we should avoid doing it this year.

I think the first one was Sunday morning, followed by Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon. Honestly, I think it would have been better if we had all assembled at some point earlier to discuss these details. Oh well... what's done is done, right? Hopefully we can have (at least) one meet-up before con.

I know. I think everyone was just busy and couldn't find the time. I was dealing with losing my apartment all winter and spring and just finally got settled into jacks house.
But I'm free now, at least until i find a job.

For me, I could do a weekday, provided that it were around noon-ish or so, or a Sunday. However, once July comes along, that will change into only Sunday.

Sundays would work, or really any weekend (except this upcoming weekend). I can easily visit Portland from Thursday to Sunday. ^^

This was a pretty fun game from one of my pregger showers, hand out yarn and cut it to the length some one thinks would go around baby belly. Its funny because people will be VERY OFF like long enough to be my height twice! I an sure I can come up with a few small prizes for it too

So i tried my skype and for some reason, it won't message anyone. It just says pending. I don't really know how to fix that.

I sent both of you messages on skype to test to see if mine is working. Since I have a Windows 8 computer, my skype is completely weird and new to me since I downloaded it. >.<

So, i updated my skype today and it still says pending. Apparently its a problem with the actual program. Skype has been having this problem for months. I think we may actually want to either get a group chat going on AIM or Facebook as a back up just in case.

Meeting Report 7/18/13:
So it was Tala and I who discussed and threw some ideas down just to get the ball rolling.
Some of the listed activities we discussed were:
1: Demotivational game.
Now if we can not do this with the lack of time, we discussed doing a similar version of "Caption the Avatar" game. We would chose avatars off of the forums (ones that are NOT pictures of people. Ones that are characters, gifs, etc) and a group of people come up, have a time limit to write down a caption, panelist reads them off, panelists vote. Winner gets a prize.
2: Anime/Manga/Videogame ABC game:
-Choose 5 people from the audience
-They go down the line naming an anime/videogame/manga, in alphabetical order (example: One person says Ah my goddess, next person can say Black Butler, and so on)
-Whoever doesn't say something within a certain time limit (5 seconds, maybe) gets eliminated from the game.
-Whoever is the last one wins.
3: 3 word stories:
-Choose 5 people from the audience
-They go down the line creating a story containing 3 words.
-If someone says more then 3, or can't come up with 3 words within a time limit gets eliminated from the game.
-Whoever is the last one wins.
4: Question Conversation:
-Choose 2 people from the audience to play a round.
-Choose a scenario, and must go back and forth asking in only question form.
-Whoever lasts the longest, wins.
5: Meet and Greet:
-Towards the end of the panel. About 15 or 20 min.
6: Panelist Guessing Game:
-Match the avatar with the name, and can ask questions (still in the works)
7: Introductions
-Audience one by one goes around introducing themselves, saying their name or their forum name if they have one (after all, this is a Facebook and Forum meetup panel, so some many not have a forum account.)
8: Name the Meme (suggestion from a friend)
-Bring up internet meme photos and a list of the possible names for the meme, people guess.
If any of this does not make sense or if I am forgetting anything, I am very sorry, I wrote this when realllly tired, so I'll edit it in the morning.
Suggestions from anyone would be so helpful~

Sorry, I completely forgot. Once I got home, the only thing on my mind was taking a shower, and I was in there a lot longer than I thought I was.
Ideas I like: One, two, five, seven. (I've even been starting on some photo ideas).
