I was wondering if anyone is interested in going to another early con to scope out the area and get familiar with the surroundings and to meet new people before con. Most of us have been to this location before but others haven't and maybe we will have found some things that others didn't know.
Date: August 18th
Time: Noon?
Where: Esther Short Park (by the clock tower and fish statues)
Why: Meet new people and get to know the area.
And as always cosplay is welcome, its a good way to test run a costume.

Its worked out really well in the past. Plus its a good way to find good picture locations and for those who haven't been to the con to figure out the layout of the hotels and how far apart they are, also this year I will make sure to include info about parking XD

Lol oh yea, last year my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to find parking in a lot. The hotel staff let us park there only because I told him al the handicap parking was taken. Gotta make sure I remember my handicap plates this year.

The last Kumoricon meeting will be on that date, in fact. This could have a decent amount of people there. Hopefully there will be at least one person there who knows the area well to help out. (I'd volunteer, but at this moment I can't verify my availability).

I'm not planning on cosplaying, myself. However, I would like to point out a special place that just opened up with Kumoricon in mind...
Around the corner from Starbuck's is a place called Asian Mini Mart. They have various Asian snacks and foods there, and they're pretty well priced, too.
