I hope someone who makes a dark knight rises amv trailer adding it to the contest could dedicate it to the victims from yesterday's shooting massacre.

I hope so too, but from what I understand, only japanese sort of amvs are allowed in the contest. I think I remember reading something about that... but! I may be wrong, so dun listen to me lol

I think what Yatterman means is that if someone made an amv set to the DKR trailer, not an amv using DKR clips

Yeah like Samcyk saids if someone made a amv of the Dark Knight rises trailer it should be dedicated to the victims and families of the Aurora Colorado shooting.

I don't think that anime and by extension AMVs have much connection or relevance to the massacre. This was a horrible, horrible thing that happened and even as an AMV creator... especially as an AMV creator... I feel that any attempt to memorialize the event using an AMV would at best seem poorly conceived and at worst, look like you were attempting to get extra votes/attention by connecting it to the shootings.
If I were to see an AMV by someone I didn't know, I would assume the latter was the case, and I wouldn't ever want anyone to assume that of my work.
