Website (http://www.rosecitycomiccon.com/). I don't know much about it yet, but hopefully it will be awesome. I've grabbed a weekend pass for it.
-
This intrigues me... I may just find myself going to this, even if it is a week after Kumo.
-
Sweet! I'm gonna have to show this to my anime club!
-
I might go :D
-
Maybe I'll go, depends on what good stuff is over there.
-
Emerald City CC was such a blast, I'm in (*if* I have any $ left after KC).
In particular, I'm interested in The Doubleclicks.
Thanks for the link.

Hopefully it actually happens this year. Looks like it is actually being run a lot better than in previous years where it never even got off the ground.

Looks like fun!

Hi - I can tell you it *IS* going to happen - I'm the show organizer. We'd love to have many Kumoricon fans join us for our first year. In costume would be even better! We'll be having a costume contest on Saturday night and hope to have some cool prizes.
Happy to answer any questions, if there are any.
Cheers - Ron

Good Lord September is going to very busy for me Kumoricon, Steam con, Rainfurrest and now this.
PSa I pass this along some of the furry groups.
-
Yay ;D. Can't wait! Hope to see some Dr. Who cosplayers there!
-
I'm going to try to go! I have one comic book costume that I've been wanting to wear again, plus I missed Wonder NW this year so I'd like to go to a non-anime con at least once this year haha.
Also, if the organizer is still in the thread, please for the love of god fix up your site! It's really hard to navigate, and it took me like three or four pages to even find out what weekend the event is.

If I have money I'll go ^^
And I'm going to see about getting Riddler done for this!
-
I need someone to go with me to the Rose City Comic con. I don't really care about costumes clashing but my parents will only let me go if I have someone to go with. Email me at singstar96@yahoo.com. Or make a reply to this post. i need to know BEFORE kumoricon!!

Money is tight, but my group is going to try to go at least for Saturday. We're getting a Batman group together. So far have myself as Riddler, Joker, Scarecrow, Harley and Bane.
-
Planning on going if I'm able to get any of my friends to come along with me! :D Hoping to see some Avengers and Doctor Who cosplayers! <3 <3
-
I am debating on going, it depends on funds.
If I do I will be the Dazzler in her civilian form from the 80s!

Luckily Comic Con isn't too expensive to get into! ;D

I don't really have a "comic book" themed cosplay.... Unfortunately.
I was actually just planning on using the cosplay I did for Kumoricon and chilling at the park. If anyone is interested in chilling with me, just find the awkward looking Sebastian Michaelis. :3
-
Ah, yes, they have a schedule up. Based on the map they posted at one point I became scared that this would be just a giant dealer's room. There are panels after all! I am going early, running away to PDX Bacon Fest down on Burnside, and then heading back for the after party.
Should be a good day.

Don't worry, I'll be in my Pokemon cosplay, so you won't feel left out! xD

For the curious, they wont know until they finish counting and checking, but they may have hit 3,200 attendees. I think RCCC is here to stay.

From what I've heard from one of my group-mates who has contact with the people running the convention, they have already laid out plans for the next Rose City Comic-Con, so yeah, it's definitely hear for the foreseeable future.
I was at the convention as well. I was with the group at the Rebel Legion/Imperial 501st Legion Kashyyyk Base/Cloud City Garrison booth. I was there most of the day on Saturday, but after hurting my ankle I wasn't able to make it back on Sunday. Thankfully I got in for free because I was part of the group, so I didn't have a wasted ticket day...

WOW!! Good for them!! That's an amazing turn-out for a first-year con! I wanted to go this year, but I couldn't swing it financially so close after Kumoricon. I wish it was a bit further on in the month. Maybe it will be next year! Then the events wouldn't conflict so much. :)
