Hello there everyone!
My group of sailor scouts and i are having a small gathering in the afternoon in the lobby of the hilton Saturday around 3pm AT Kumoricon.We are having a little mermaid cake party and plan to have a few other snacks too.However there are only about 8 of us,and i was going to bring a rather large cake.I wanted to extend to EVERYONE our offer of joining us for cake and snacks until we run out just have fun,goof off take pictures and make new friends.
We feel we will have too much extra food and are also bringing cleaning supplies,utensils,napkins,plates,and a table cloth to keep things clean.i spoke briefly with a person over the phone at the hilton they seem to be all right as long as everyones tidy and just having a good time and not being too rambunctious.
and this means everyone cosplaying anything,you do not need to be from sailor moon.[EDIT] the cosplay people have spoken and require chocolate,those with chocolate allergies be warned,it will be a chocolate or marbled cake.
just wanted to extend the invite to everyone out there and other sailor scouts.
afterward we wanted to use the figurines to play con tag,no running or anything like that,we simply use the figures,and who ever is "it" has the figure passed to them until they tag someone else and pass it to them.We figured it would just a fun laid back version of tag to play.

When were you thinking about doing this?

We were thinking about 2:30 or 3pm[i see so many gatherings before 3 usually i didn't want anyone to miss out] we are flexible since its just a sharing and fun gathering. so we are willing to work with when people are most available[though i likely wont arrive until noon that day]

:'( I won't be able to make that. I'll be getting out of a meeting by then, plus I still need new gloves, and I don't think they'll be ready by then. Maybe next time, though...?

This event is taking place during K-con on Saturday lol I hope you dont get caught in a meeting during con D=

I see... the original post didn't clarify that this was during con, so I thought it'd be somewhat close. In that case, I can aim for it, but I work during the con, as well as running a panel, so I can't guarantee if I could be there or not until the schedule is released. I'll keep looking in here, though.

Sounds fun! But you're really disappointing me there by not having any chocolate.... :'( I don't typically hear that allergy a lot.. is it common?
I probably won't have a SM cosplay, but I will be in cosplay of some sort. And I, too, will be working during con, but I should have a bit of freedom :)

I agree. There shouldn't be anything wrong with chocolate, as well. We'd just let the ones with the allergies know and they could avoid it, right?

I avoid everything all the time because I'm technically allergic to egg and dairy (I know, perfect for a cake, right?). However, I'm fortunately not deathly allergic, so I do indulge every once in a while.
As there would be other munchies as well, there could be other options besides the cake... or do that many more people simply prefer vanilla? My apologies if we chocoholics are outnumbered :D ...and certainly not my place to change the original plan if there was a reason white cake was chosen.. just didn't want to discount chocolate unnecessarily.. unless one of the original group is allergic :)

Which Hilton would this be at? Downtown Portland, or up in Vancouver where Gamestorm is?

any costumes are welcome,does not have to be sailor moon.and i am sorry i had forgotten this was moved,it was in kumoricon gatherings when i originally posted it.

I can maybe get a marbled cake or half and half,i am paying for all of it out of pocket,so It will depend mostly on how they can decorate it,i will shoot for a chocolate marble cake then so that it is both chocolate and vanilla.i think the frosting for the one i plan to get is vanilla[but its to get that ocean "
under the sea blue"]

Ok so an update this is still happening! but we are going to bring a variety of little debbie and hostess cakes as well as the cake.We are still going to have to try to be as clean as possible,when i had called the hotel they said as long as no mess it was ok.So ill grab paper plates,forks and napkins too.

SWEET! I'm quite partial to the Cupcakes and Star Crunches, myself, but almost all of their stuff makes for happy times! Nice call!

Hello this is cancelled since Iheartexploding cannot get the things she needs because she doesn't have the money to do so please forgive us. She was paying a 100% out of pocket and can just not afford it for kumoricon.

That's okay. At least we had a head's up. There's been quite a number of events and such in which no such notice had been given (once or twice that I should have said something... *hides in corner*).
