Title: YuGiOh! It is time to Duel in 2012!

Haha, believe me, I REALLY want to.
It may be a crossplay because im a male, but a couple female friends of mine say I could pull it off. (I hope they are right)

The only thing standing in my way from doing this is money. I have little other options other then having it commissioned for me.
Hmm, I should probably post about that soon to at least plan ahead.

Yeah, that makes me wonder... How does anyone take more than 3 cosplays to Kcon??? Kcon is 3 days, so you could wear different one each day, but anything more seems to rushed on each individually...

Oh, and do you know of any good local(ish) people who could commission my cosplay???

On a related note, it looks like I can actually buy my cosplay, err, MOST of it on Ebay. That simplifies things a bit.
However, I am still on my own for Carly's sleeve/gloves and boots. Not to mention I will need a wig. sigh.

Any suggestions for the sleeve/gloves and boots?

On the one hand, I can buy most of it on ebay. This would provide me with everything needed except for her boots, sleeve/gloves and wig obviously.
The main costume on ebay is about $80 + shipping. (Which is high...)

This isn't too bad I don't think, but I still have the 3 remaining parts of the cosplay I need to take care of. And I have no idea what kind of prices I will be looking at...

On the other hand, I could have someone commission it for me as one big thing, but again, price won't be cheap and quality can vary depending on who does it.

So I guess I am asking for your opinions guys...
What is the best way to go about this?
Ebay? Commission? A combination of both? (You get the idea.)

More specifically, can any of you guys help me specifically or are your schedules full?

Basically I've decided that I will most likely buy my Dark Signer Carly cosplay on ebay. Seems good enough. (I hope)

However, as I've said before, that still leaves the sleeves and boots to take care of. Neither is too difficult I suppose, but it is awkward still none the less.

For her boots, what would you all recommend specifically? As I'm not a girl in real life I have no knowledge in the shoe department. lol
Any specific brands and names would be greatly appreciated.

The other thing is a matter of the wig.
Would I be better off getting a character specific wig, or a basic generic wig and having a friend style it?

On a different note, I'm having such a pain finding knee boots for Dark Signer Carly's outfit.
The first part is that Good Will only has so much stuff, not to mention that it looks weird for a boy to be looking at girls shoes. Especially since I don't girl with me to divert attention to. lol
The other problem then in turn becomes going online. I am not a girl so I do not know what brands or names to look into or even where to look for good results. I also don't want to buy something brand new at those big retail prices.
I need help from any female cosplayers here. lol
