Our next general meeting will be held Sunday, March 11, at 1:00pm at:
Beaverton Community Center (https://apps.beavertonoregon.gov/secure/bookingsystem/rooms/room_bvrtncomctr.cfm)
12350 SW 5th St Ste 100
Beaverton, OR 97005
Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=12350+SW+5th+St,+Beaverton,+OR+97005&hl=en&t=m&z=17)
General meetings are open to the public. Meet and plan with other staff, find out about joining staff or become a volunteer, and learn about open staff positions. Bring interested friends!

Woot I <3 meetings that are really ready to get to!
I will be able to bring the wee one too
-
I should be able to make that one, as well. (And if I have money, maybe stop by at Uwajimaya!)
-
Just want to let people who are driving to the meeting know: There is plenty of on-street parking along 5th Ave. Try not to park in the library lot across the street, since that does fill up with the bookworms. But like I said, there shouldn't be a problem finding parking. :)
-
1pm... I couldn't even stop by on my lunch break. Dang.
I need to have someone hand off some forms for me if I'm gonna be staff again. It's really hard for me to get out of work early on the weekends.
-
^ You do know that you can apply online for that, right Tom? http://www.kumoricon.org/staff-registration
-
I know that a lot of the stuff I want is on the website. I just don't trust it.
-
Fair enough.
...wait, what about the option to print off the form and mail it in?
-
Tom, the website is actively maintained and can be relied on. If you have any specific concerns, we can address those.
-
Oh Jeff, it's not that I doubt your coding skills. :-*
I'm at work right now so I can't fill out anything anyway.
-
Thanks Tom :) but it's not about me, many people are involved in the website, especially content from many staff and departments. I just wanted to confirm, as a con, that it is maintained and kept active and up to date.
-
Just noticed that the meeting is on my Birthday!! :o
-
CAKE!!!
-
I conquer! CAKE!!!
It's five days AFTER my birthday. xD
-
Sweet!
...the community center isn't gonna have a tissy fit if we bring cake, will they?
-
Info about food straight from the BCC website:
Food: Food may be consumed at your sole risk and expense. The city does not provide food service or any food service supplies.
Community Center - A light-use kitchenette with sink, stove, refrigerator and microwave is available in the Community Room. Cooking of food is not allowed. Box lunches, snack food, and appetizers may be consumed in all meeting rooms.
It also says people are not allowed to burn candles, so no birthday candles. :(
-
^ Thanks.
Oh, there will be candles, we just won't light them... ;D
"Blow out the imaginary flames... I can still see them... BLOW HARDER!" ;D
But nah... that should be fine.
