Do you think that the fans should draw a kumoricon 10th anniversary mascot for the contest or the staff draws a official tenth anniversary mascot?
-
I vote staff
-
If I understand what you're talking about, it's already been done. The website updates featuring the new mascot should be coming up soon-ish.
-
I mean't for 2013 which is the 10th anniversary of Kumoricon.
-
Mhmm... well, it'll most likely be done in the same fashion that all the others have been done. Anybody can submit a drawing, then the staff members vote, with the winner being announced at closing ceremonies.
-
Ok because itwould be cool seeing the staff showing a 10th anniversary mascot with the mascots from 2003 to 2012 with the 2013/10th anniversary mascot and maybe a big kumoricon cake lol.

2012 is the 10th anniversary for k-con
-
2013 is the 10th anniversary because Kumoricon started in 2003.

2003- First Year
2004- Second Year
2005-Third Year
2006- Fourth Year
2007- Fifth Year
2008- Sixth Year
2009- Seventh Year
2010- Eighth Year
2011- Ninth Year
2012- Tenth Year

What Spontaneous said. Depending on how you define terms, 2013 might be the tenth anniversary of the first Kumoricon... but 2012 will be the tenth Kumoricon.
-
I really like the contest idea, you get many forms and styles and ideas.
But if I see a single chair as an entry, heads will roll
-
2012 is the tenth annual. 2013 is the tenth anniversary. It's not about how a person defines things, but how the words are defined. Saying that 2012 is the tenth anniversary is like saying that a married couple's wedding day is their first anniversary.

I'd like to send my warmest wishes tio the Kumoricon staff for 10 years of wonderous anime insanity. And here's to 10 more and even more so when we've all retired from the con scene and are old and grey.
