Hello everyone, if this is in the wrong forum then please tell me. =]
I attend a charter school that specializes in four areas of career studies. I am in the digital media and design (DMD) field. Every year the seniors in the DMD program, hosts a film festival. My production team needs lots of extras as well as actors and actresses.
Our film idea is a the story of a boy who dies and participates in a game to come back to life. It's a coming of age tale where our main character, Daniel, is a troubled teen who meets a cute, naive boy named Elliot and through unlikely events the two grow really close. Elliot ends up winning the challenge but is not able to come back to life due to the fact that he killed himself. So instead Daniel gets to come back to life and in the end goes to visits Elliot's grave.
This is just a synopsis of the films story and more information will be given to the final casts members.
We're going to have auditions this Saturday, October 22, at Holladay park. Which is right across the street from Lloyd center(a.k.a. the park outside Double Tree). We will start auditions at 12 pm.
If your interested in participating in this fun activity please tell me so I have a rough idea of how many people want to show up. Also please spread the word to people who might be interested in doing this. If you have any questions feel free to ask and if this time or location doesn't work for you then please let us know and we can work something out. :D

Since most people were saying they couldn't show up to the event this weekend we pushed it back to October 28th at 4pm and the next day starting at 12. Sorry for the last minute change!
On Friday and Saturday we will be sitting at a table somewhere in the park. Our director will be wearing a nyan cat scarf and I will be wearing my toaster puppy scarf (if I can finish it in time). Can't wait to see you all there, it should be lots of fun!

Man, I'd love to do this. But I'd have to audition some other time. I have my play performances all day Saturday.
I like the story-line though! Kinda reminds me of the game 'The World Ends With You'

Hello! I am the Director of this short film. I don't have much to post seeing as usagi2ranpha said all that needed to be said.
We would be willing to move it to Friday if that would seem to work better-- although we would need a few more people to say Saturdays wouldn't work.
We really would like to have as many people as possible since minor characters play a major visual part in this, so if neither of these work we may be able to work something out privately. If need be.

The two main parts we are preferring boys to play them.
We would like people who can get to downtown Portland and downtown Gresham relatively easily. Since our shooting locations are going to be there. (:

If you make an event on Facebook, that is an easy way to get to people. I know a lot of cosplayers here, so that would be easiest to spread the word.
Also, what is a schedule looking like? What days would be practices for the most part?

I'm all in for weekend filming :3 and auditioning, but it's the same day I have to take my grandmother to the airport D:

We can really work with our peoples availability. We are going to start filming in November. Up until that point its all still a little vague. It will probably be on weekends or weekdays that are possible holidays, it will all depend. When we get to that point let us know if there are any conflicts!
Also we will have various people playing various characters with the help of wigs and costume changes, we thought we'd ask you guys, since we're all cosplayers and that jazz.
WE(well, atleast I am) ARE GOING TO BE AT THE PARK BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

We called off todays little audition because we were out there with no show and its pouring!!!
See you all tomorrow! we will be there at noon!! LETS HOPE FOR BETTER WEATHER. :) There will be three of us. We will have bright hair, a nyan cat scarf, possible lolita, blasting music, possible table, and being generally obnoxious.
