First! I am really sorry the repost! But some things came up with Chibiorochimaru and she has made the choosen to not run the world meeting this year. So because of this, we have made a new post so we don't have to bug her over and over again to update it. So with permission from her and KyoKyo866 I have copied the first post here to update it.

Yes, here it is....I mean hey the world is suppose to end in 2012 right? I think we need another World meeting then.
Sense we had to turn down almost 100 people who waited in line (I'm very sorry about that to everyone who did get turned away) We did tape it for you to see.

THINGS TO REMEMBER/THINK ABOUT WHEN JOINING THIS PANEL
This may be a filmed event: Not every one likes their picture taken or likes to be filmed and have it up on the internet! Please remember this once you sign up if you don't like the idea of our face out there on the internet.
Getting the OK for the panel: Not every panel gets aproved! So! The second day panel may not be aproved! (or can the first day) if this is the case we will most likely use the list the day is set on. (like if we have a day one panel we will use the day 1 list)
Be on time
if you have signed up to be a country, you must do your best to show up! Last year allmost half of the people last year didn't show up. Its very fustrating for the people who run the panel. Now we understand if something comes up. But by agreeing to "join" is that you are 80% sure that you will show up. I recomend getting there 30-20 mins befor it starts. (I got there an hour early last year.)
We will have a check list of all the usernames with their characters. if you do not show up, we WILL NOT LOOK FOR YOU. We had to do this last year.

Alright, Lets get this panel figured out early, Sadly though we won't be having an 18+ one again because of what happened at this one. Several con rules were broken and it was a bit of a mess as a panel, so bad in-fact me and one of the others leading the panel went around apologizing for some of the cosplayers that were there.
I do want to say thank you though to everyone who did help in this last world meeting. You all did great <3 <3 <3
On a happier note though, I'd love to hear from people intrested in being in this next years panel. I mean its never to early to start on next year~
this is going to be much diffrent from the last two years, and we decided on no more then ONE of each Nation, As always its first come first serve.
We have choosen to try and do two panels. This way more people can get the chance to be in it. Please post what character, and day you would like. (Remember, only one nation for each day)

Out in the park on the other side of the hilton, there is a large clock tower with large salmon around it. On day 1, meet at that clock tower at 7, Sam will be there to get you at 7:30. On Day 2 meet there 3:30, Sam will get you at 4:00 pm.

After all that has happen and stuff I do really want to go to this agian i enjoyed it and stuff. if you guys like I am bring my amp and mic that i had left over from my old band I can bring it for you guys to use. for the pannel to make it easer on your voices I will state dont get to clsoe to the arm with the mic >< or ears will hurt i ll test it out when i get home and make sure it still works i now it dose but my siblings been around my things so i never now i hope that helps i can bring it early for you guys . I trust you well enought even if i dont get in You guys will retune it I spent alot of money on that.

I will also assist/attend the second meeting. Mostly because I plan on doing the same staff thing I did this year. Haven't decided just yet but its likely Ill do Fem Turkey or something else. But I do plan to staff it. Thank you for liking my idea lol.

so I looked at the pictures for the area. And really that room is probably the largest other then main events/live events room.

Perhaps maybe if panel 2/3 where combined. But it looks like it would only be about the size of the workshop. After using paint to compare it might be a smidgen bigger then the workshop. But not by all that much.

Id suggest just talking to the person in charge first. Few problems with asking Todd to join us would be.
1. Hetalia lovers are a riley and rambunctious bunch. There is very few ways to calm.
2. I would assume that some people would expect him to do signing as well during any panels. Which would bring problems in clearing the room.
3. This would need to be arranged with Todd, the person who is taking care of him during the con, and the panel people. So you would want to get talking to the people and finding out if its manageable.
I would suggest if you intending to do this, that you also consider inviting people other then just the voices if anyone else attends.
On a random I had a thought on a topic 'the Future of hetalia, what people think will happen' this could be a long sort of topic that could split into different discussions.

yeah what happens is with liprings tuth past or food and other stuff and get underneath the ball and the ring and can dry there and stick like a glue. talked to my pircer about it. and when that happens to take peroxide to them and clean them good before useing agian .

A couple of suggestions of it hasn't been touched on yet:
-A Microphone! (it will be our best friend seriously! If we let the panel get as chaotic as the 18+ one last year the microphone will help us lower the volume. Unless you want someone to scream "Quiet!" every time, a microphone will be great!)
-FLAGS!!!!! (We never got to it this year and I think it's very important not only for other panelists to know of but the fans too)
-What will the rules be? (I believe we need a list of set rules for anything that might happen at the panel. EX:No shipping during the panel, save it for the photoshots/after a number of times __*insert topic like "UK's cooking" or "US being fat" type of comment here*__ can't be brought up anymore. It will also help lower the chaos in the room if there are rules)
There are probably more but I had to type this quick 'cause my sis is trying to kick me off. If I think of more I will reply again.

Dont worry about the rules portion. Rozen, TsuderenPrussian and I have analyzed the last world meeting and we're putting up a new set of rules and puting up a designated set amount of topics instead of choosing randomly from a list. It'll be much better so we has that handled!
Heres the set of rules so far:
• Raise hand to speak; do not speak out of term
• Keep in seat at all times unless for specific reason
• Keep pairings canon (GerIta only as bromance)
• Keep on topic as much as possible
• Registered characters have first say, guests have second

Since one of the panels thing is gonna be on day one I can figure we can talk about them on that day (especially the etiqutee of try not to wear them as a cape, it doesnt make you a superhero).

I guess, I meen... Just because a person weres a flag as a cap doesn't meen its disrespectfull, its infact ilegall.... With the american flag in this country it is. But I don't really see the point of bringing up flag. There is not much the talk about them, other then what not to do with them....
Edit: Or stuff like: The brittish flag is the scottish and english flag combined. Or the befor WWII Germany's flag was Black,white, and red. Because thats the 'german' colors. And once the nazi flag came around it was still black, white, and red. So affter WWII the change the white to gold (no, its not yellow) because they didnt wanna use white because the 'german flag' colors were on the WWII flag....
And thats why the german flag looks how it is now. True stuff.

I was actually thinking of maybe being Denmark from SatW for a couple of hours on day 0 or something, and he wears the danish flag as his shirt, so I'm not sure what the problem of flag etiquette is (in regards to wearing it), when we see alot of 'official' flag merch being 'flag as clothing', especially here in the US. >.<

One of the ideas we did have was some top 10 list of certain traits of countires, like whose the Fattest, the Drunkest, the Cleanest, and so forth. And theyre real lists too.
BTW the top 1 fattest country that i forgot was American Samoa, not sure where I got the U from for the beginning xD

Considering we had a frustrating time cutting people off for the panel last year, we had an idea what we would do for the poor people that got cut off. Since we have two panels, we figured once the first line was cut off, we'd give the first 20 (still debating on number) people of the line from the cutoff a ticket to let them gain access to the front of the line for the next panel. (when i think about it thats be cool to give you guys as a file u can print out and show us on the first day so u guys can get up front on day 1 too) What ya'll think?

That would be cool (the tickets and the file), but I'm not sure about printing them off. I remember for the longest time I didn't have a printer I could use to print things off, because I lost one of the cords for mine....hmmm. Its a good idea though, if everyone who signed up does have printer access. *makes a mental note to buy more printer ink while I'm thinking about it*

One problem I might see with the ticket printing/drawing. What if someone takes it and copies it at con. Should you make a list of the people who are going to use it?
I mean something like that is great but what if (although unlikely) the entire line has it at the end of the day? If they used it the first day would not the others notice it, then possibly copy it for the next day. The number of ticket things would double.

Well for nthe first day with the tickets, yea we'd have a list of who would have recieved the tickets and check them in to make sure they came ion. Same with the second day for the forum attendees we'd look to make sure theyre the ones who get in while just whoever has the tickets we gave out at the first panels line (and i dont think they could find a way to copy it illegally without us noticing the different paper)

Or making a list with the badge name and badge number on it (so you can check it off of a list the same way you'll be checking off the forum names). That way you won't have to worry about printing tickets or someone copying or giving away their ticket (or losing it). The people who were in line will need to have their badge with them anyway, and you could just check the badge name and number off a list (maybe after the forum panelists listed) on the second days page.
Its an idea at least.

At running the world meeting at Sakura-Con, we realized something important. Getting the VIP out of line is complicated as hell. So we divised a plan of hour to get you guys in the panel sooner and easier instead of searching the extremely long line for ya'll.
We all can decide on an area for btoh days where you all will meet together, so you all ar sectioned out in the vip group, then when we're ready to seat we can find you all and get you all in there no problem then just open the line. How does that sound?

I cannot wait for these panels. The most fun I had last year was with the other Hetalia fans.
Though I am looking forward to this being a bit more structured and maybe a bit more about history. I did a lot of research for last year's Kumoricon on Ukrainian history and would love to actually display my (still limited, but more than I used to have) knowledge of it. Like how Ukraine is first basically world-wide in alcohol consumption with Ukrainians starting at a really young age and continuing from there. A drunken Ukraine, hm?

Hey guys, so we have a couple updates to make about the World Meeting for Kumoricon 2012.
First off, we have heard back from the panel coordinators and yes were accepted, but only for one day and as of right now we don't know if it's Day 1 or if it's Day 2.
Second, RozenMaiden_Girl will no longer be a part of this as she is no longer available to attend Kumoricon this year; So it will just me KyoKyo866 and myself running the panel and N. Italy is also still taken but by TohruIchi.

So yes, we did get approved for both panels. Which is wonderful news!
However we have a question for all of you! We were also planning on having a World Meeting, but having it be 2P Hetalia instead and being run by 2P Nations. So we wanted to ask you all, if you would rather just have two normal world meetings, or one normal world meeting, and then being able to see the strange and abnormal nature of 2Ps at a 2P world meetings.
The decision is up to you guys! Either two normal world meetings or one normal and one 2P world meeting.
Please decide soon!

I think it would be interesting to do one of them as 2P, that is if you can get enough people together for it at such short notice. Perhaps there should be a vote taken to see if that should be on day one, or day two?

Out in the park on the other side of the hilton, there is a large clock tower with large salmon around it. On day 1, meet at that clock tower at 7, Sam will be there to get you at 7:30. On Day 2 meet there 3:30, Sam will get you at 4:00 pm.

I wasn't there for a good half of the second one (and when I was, it was in and out), but the first had quite a bit of trouble. I found it rather disturbing that people could not tell the difference between an 'angry Germany' verses a very distressed cosplayer. The inability to keep one's act together in the very place it should be easiest, amongst fellow fans, is rather saddening.
Overall it was fun, but there were quite a few moments that clearly weren't. I hope next year our poor hosts will be better staffed to keep the hyper ones under control. You guys rocked, I'm not sure I would've handled it as well as you guys. QAQ

i can agree that there were some times when the crowd just got to much out of hand with the comments and became uncooperative. but our hosts did an amazing job at keeping it leveled through out both panels as it was only the two of them. id be happy to help next year if needed, i was a panelst this year as well, but i didnt have the pressure of the crowd as they did, mine was a tiny crowd. awesome job

But this is still all a learning experience; like should really keep this only one panel per con; maybe slim it to 2.5 hours since people didnt like it being so long (though 2 hours is still short). Keep 2P out of it (apparentally we frightened a *lot* of our people away because of it). Maybe get at least one more host and so on and so forth.
But yea.. about the first meeting.. sorry about me breaking down and crying like that. That was really stupid and unprofessional of me to do in the middle of a panel. I was just really stressed and hated that so many people were laughing at me for telling them to follow the rules so we didn't get in trouble. As for the 2P thing, since most of that is playing off of fanon/headcanon it can easily alienate a lot of people just by that alone. That, and it seemed like a lot of people there are new to how fandoms work in general, let alone 'just discovering' Hetalia. >_<;

Just something worth noting: Programming decides who runs what based on a lot of different factors, but I'm pretty sure that who starts threads first in the forums isn't one of them. Everyone is welcome to start their own. We don't encourage duplication, but if different groups are competing for the same idea and don't feel it's possible to work together, the threads should be kept separate.
Also, please note that discussion of off-forum disputes should be kept to a minimum. Everyone is absolutely welcome to try to improve panels by soliciting feedback and participation, throwing out ideas, discussing what they think will make their panel good, etc... but disparaging (or defending) others' panels doesn't accomplish that goal.
(For that matter, I also seriously doubt that it impresses Programming. But that's just my personal opinion.)

also feedback. 1. i had to leave the first panel a few times because of stuff. it wasn't because of the panel. but i couldn't hear barely anything anyone was saying. and i was kinda releived to come back to less people in the room
2. i thought it was odd that you guys didn't have more people answering questions up at the front. like i thought the panel was going to be a sort of Q and A panel for multipal nations.
3. 2nd panel was WAYYYYY better. i feel like the 2P! hetalia should probably stay on tumblr personally. because they're all fan based characters for the most part. and alot of people must have thought you guys were bringing OC's into the panel or some sort like that.
also. you guys need to talk to denmark and nando about this because i didn't think they were going to try to take over your whole panel idea. i honestly dont like the idea of that. i feel it very unfair to you guys. me and nando were talking about making a Q-A panel for the FACE family and i think she expanded the idea into a Q-A for the whole allied and axis powers. still. you guys need to talk to them and figure it out because they can't take over your panel. i think you guys deserve your own panel and if they want to do another they need to plan it a separate day.
i really hope you guys can figure this all out and all. im gonna talk to nando about what the deal is with denmark stealing your panel idea and crap. because you guys still deserve to have your panel. it was your guys's idea, you set it up, and its obvious you work hard at it.

i agree compleatly and thats why i've put up the point of whitch where they all need to discuss the panel outside of the forums and figure it all out. because whatever it may be im sure the people who have set up the panels in the past and are planning to set them up can fairly place their panel ideas if they speak with each other beforehand. although apparently this hasn't yet happened and needs to.

Yeah, I agree the second one was better and as Kyo said it's still a learning experience. We're sticking to one per con /always/, and I was actually nervous about making one a 2P panel, but since we were granted two it was kinda a last minute decision but still. //Shrugs.
Also, the world meeting isn't really a Q & A thing where nations up front answer questions in the way you seem to be describing. You would probably be thinking about an 'Ask A Nation' panel, not a world meeting where it is an open discussion of topics and everyone is involved.
I really don't want to argue with people, and if anyone would personally wish to talk to me or Kyo about things I would prefer to be contacted over Skype.

Its been so misserable for the past 6th months and like last minute I didn't get to go. And I was supost to host this panel. and just.

This year hasn't been easy on myself and a few friends either. It would be inappropriate to go into details here, but if you really love something you should continue to go for it. This year for you was a flop, but that doesn't mean it's the end. Learn from the mistakes and gain enough experience to go to the next level!

I Really think alot of preplanning and going over with the other host can work alot as well. and practiceing with a small meet up can help too. and also planning out how you guys can controle the room and those in it. but still have it be a fun and less stressful on you guys.

Emphasis on preplanning for certain. You can not go wrong with over preplanning. I've had friends tell me to stop being their moms/dads but when a con is over and done with, no one is complaining of lack of food or major headaches. ;)

Fun fact, I over plan like no ones business, per panel I get 4-5 pages of just ifnormation for the panel. Do I need more paperwork? xD

Sorry I should have been more specific, I was referring to your thoughts of giving up cosplay. But if it was never a strong passion/fun for you, feel free to ignore my words. XP It's certainly not a hobby for everyone.

well, I have been doing it sense I was 7. And I have become some what pretty good at it.

To those of you who still pay attention to this forum:
I have an announcement.. After KC 13, I am retiring from the World Meeting panels. Wheather they will completely stop after I dismiss them will be up to you. Right now I am thinking about getting an heir to my position to run them after I step down. Who is it? I don't know yet, it's an important decision. But once I decide, I'm going to all I can to train them to be the best they very can so it will be like I never left. Who knows, maybe it'll be better than how I did them.

I know this is a little late (like a month late...) but I can honestly say that going to the World Meeting was the highlight of my first KumoriCon! You guys were so funny and adorable and it was just all around really fun and amazing! I could tell that you put a lot of work into it. You guys rock! ;D
