Hetalia day is actually on the 24th but since that is a week day let's celebrate during the weekend!
This is probably going to be more for people on the west side of Oregon.
So we're meeting at Pioneer Square at 2:00 and will move from there

That cloak sounds really neat. Who knows what you'll find though, they put weird clothes in the Halloween section sometimes. My friend found a cool army jacket that had been drawn on all over with markers for a costume there.

Hetalia Day is the same day as United Nations Day. When the fandom took off, a group of people decided it'd be a good excuse to get the fandom in different parts of the world to meet up, so they spread the word and it was a success so it's a fandom tradition now.
They're pretty much just meet ups. Typically, part of it's a potluck, games, and a small photoshoot.

I know there's plenty of time until this to prepare, but my heart is set on being at least SOME version of America, since I have no money to put towards the outfit he's normally seen in. I may feel as empty headed as Italy sometimes, but out of all of them I can't find any other nation that fits me so well. However, I only know the image more than the personality or story, other than the small amount I glimpsed off of YouTube before it was taken off. Is there another site I can study up at? If I want to appear as the character, I want to do it well informed.

No matter what meet I come to, the ratio of females will almost always be greater than that of males. It's just something to accept. I also have seen enough Hetalia to be aware of the shenanigans that go on between the nations, something I expect a number of attendees to delight in. But being one of the few guys wanting to attend, personally being borderline shy/outgoing, I also find it uneasy to convey any form of fanservice in the group without being afraid of offending or sending bad vibes to anyone. I know some of the females have it differently since they normally prefer to joke around with each other.
(I'm sorry this is so lengthy)
I'm not saying that nobody should have fun, I'm only asking the group what the best approach for me is so I won't look like some old creep that should be burned for even existing.

Here's the issues with that: most of our current members aren't into Hetalia, and one of the few exceptions has work on Saturdays; also, that week will either be the first or second meeting for us, and doing a "field trip" wouldn't be such a great thing for us; we'll be busy planning for events that we're going to be holding/co-hosting for Halloween & November.

I've heard no negative feedback about me, but no positive either. Probably because I'm not as well known and still a man of mystery. It makes for a dramatic character in a good novel, but it also makes me hope that I do a good job with what I have to work with.
I know no one else seems too worried (not as much as I seem to be), but I feel less equipped than everyone else, so I'm putting all of my penniless effort into my cosplay.

I actually haven't seen many of them at Pioneer Square over the last week or so. They started there on the 6th and moved from there, and I think that's the plan on the 15th as well, but I don't think it should be a problem by the 22nd. If a lot of people are there, we can always gather there and then head elsewhere anyway.

Hottopic just got most of their halloween stuff in, and i know they have a flowy pirate shirt that would totally work for a poet shirt.

It has to be something that has no ruffles around the middle and stuff. I need the shirt to have ruffles only on the sleeves, or around the collar. Beccause I'm using a cinch with it, and swishy skirts, and all that stuff.

You know mau means cat right? And no, im doing a normal gijinka of luna. The human form the show of her in the movid isnt her real human form, just the one sailor moon gave her to be princess kaguya for that man luna fell in love with.

Ah, yeah the one in the movie is Luna's human form in the manga and you probably want to do the PGSM version since she's a 12 year old kid in it
I know a little too much about Sailor Moon...YOu should check out PGSM though it's awesome
