It seemed this years walk-ons during the Cosplay Contest were less then 30 seconds and had the same music playing (I could be wrong. I couldn't tell if there was any music playing at all, really). Now next year I'm thinking of doing a walk-on with one of my costumes and I was wondering if you can have your own music playing while you're walking on and meet the 30 second limit exactly? It just feels more fitting to me having my character's theme song playing as I walk on.
Sorry if this makes no sense at all. ^^''

You should be able to do that. I know they did that in '10; the duo that went on stage before my group had their own music and was on stage for almost the whole 30 seconds. I'd assume the rules would still be the same for next year.

^Thank you for the help. ^_^

This year it seemed like they all got on stage and walked across then left when they did have 30 seconds. I think maybe they were nervous?

^Possibly. I would understand that too since. Well. You're infront of A LOT of people.

I feel like this year it was just because the stage was so small. >_< There really wasn't room to do more than two poses.

^Oh boy that will not be good with my costume **costume has a very long train** X.X

Nearly ALL of the walk-ons this year were Novices (beginners / first time in cosplay). We also were trying very hard to enforce the rules about keeping the walk-ons short and only a few poses. If your walk-on is going to be more than that, then you're better off entering a skit (besides, that makes you eligible for another prize...so entering skit & costume really is the best way to go).
Rules have been essentially the same year to year - only a few changes have been made, mostly based upon requests by either the directors or the entrants.

@Runa: Okay! Thank you for the information. ^_^
