I love to join again. Though I'm torn between going as Nyo!Japan or Hong Kong again. I'm more familiar with Japanese culture/history and still feel I have a long way to go to make a good Hong Kong... otz
What kind of topics will be the theme next year? I'm sure if we tackled some light-hearted subjects people are concerned about- like different animation/comic censorship across the world- would bring some fun perspectives.

Korean food = <3 How about this? A rule that won't allow people to talk about overdone subjects? The punishment if such a rule is broken they are no longer allowed to talk until that one subject matter (or more) is over. That should put people on their toes!
God help me for suggesting this, but: "Pasta/Noodles around the world" about how different countries deal with pasta/noodles or even dumplings (English vs Chinese vs Pirogie{yes they're technically dumplings}) though I think we'd have to limit how much Italy can speak.
Yeeeea sorry about usually having it trail back to Englands cooking; I guess its amusing to do because of the overeactions of Englands xDLol...my bad too...I like to be England for all of this type of stuff but when I asked why everyone bags on UK I was serious...it was getting to be too much for me and I was getting bored of pretending to cry/reacting over things so I ended up just drinking my tea...
F.A.: I totally empathise with the hight issue. I'm 5'2" and am only the 3rd shortest in my extended family. And I've had "Edward Elric" moments myself. Which is why when I pick on an Ed, I usually use the milk angle. It may also be the reason I cosplayed Olivia Armstong, the only one who could get away with calling Ed short.That was for the 2011 thread. I read that too. XD It sounds so much better that way.
Also, as Poland, I get tired of people pushing Ponies on me. Yes it's fun the first few times but it gets old quick.

Well, Chibi and I ran the Kuro panels, and both had Q&A type sections. What we did was this; the panelists were at the head of the room, facing the audience. Audience members raised their hands when they had a question, and the panelist in question would answer. I'm thinking this'll run similar, with a few changes. If we get a bigger room like Live Events, not having room at the head of the space shouldn't be a problem. Instead of character specific questions, they'd be topics for the panelist countries to discuss. Chibi and I will facilitate it and make sure a particular question doesn't run on too long. We can also have particular questions planted that activate skit type things, such as a discussion about colonies ending with England slapping a collar on Seychelles and France having a fit.I agree. We need a microphone! XD
Having a Yojimbo in the room would help out too, though things should remain civil for an under 18 panel like they did this year. This IS Hetalia though...
The separation of panelist nations from the audience should hopefully stop more rowdy behavior. And in a larger room, Like Live Events, we'd all be on or around an elevated stage. We could still interact with the audience though.
And one other idea I had... no matter how much we may want to, don't go pulling missing nations from the line outside unless one of us knows them and can vouch for them. I would like to join the next world meeting as Japan if I may. It would be nice to be a different country for once, Even though I loves rome. I'm warming up to the idea of japan. well I take pride in making my cosplays, and as someone who takes commisions I feel it'd be a cop-out to buy one, 'specially a simple one like Ice. I just remembered this but in the show when France and England are kids they freak out because "the world is going to end" and France said he alsways dreamed of conquring him before they die, so England goes along...But then all is okay. XD Lol Several years later (more current) Japan starts freaking out because he heard "the world is going to end" but England and France are just like"Psh-sha~!! Like that will happen" and totally blow it off. (I forget what episode this was)

We should also have some sports topics. I am not a sports fan, but I would love to do some research for whichever Nation I come as and their stances with things like football (or soccer, we Americans) and things like that. That could get some friendly rivalry up, which is better than bringing up opposite sides of a war or something like that. Considering certain jokes about certain wars are still off-colour and we had a few of those that made things a bit antsy during the 18+ panel if I recall correctly.

Before I get off the seriouse bussiness here, me and Mitsukai Mizu Amaya thought that it would be good to take just a few mins of the beggining of the world meeting to bring up flags and how to treat them properly. We wanted to this year but neither us of really had the spotlight. Just bring up the simple things like not setting them on the ground, using them as capes and not using them to twirl around and dance with (I love color guard as much as the next person but yea...) Just as a refresher to people and just to bring people's attention to it.I agree and it will be a good way to spread the knowledge of how to deal with flags for all the crazy Hetalia fans. XD

Yeah if it's a square piece of cloth it isn't the flag, each national flag has it's own specific demensions.

I don't want to discourage anyone from following etiquette, but just a minor point: Etiquette, although important, isn't law.
There have actually been several cases of people burning the American flag and getting arrested, but it's always been overturned. Even going that far in disrespecting the flag is considered freedom of speech.
I'm really glad to hang out with a group like this, where people try very hard to respect each other's feelings because they want to... not because they have to. I wouldn't want to live in a country where someone could be arrested just for being disrespectful.

I am happy to say myself that when I saw hetalia characters they weren't being disrespectful to their flags.People were alot better with flags this year then in '10 i'm so proud of us all <3
I am happy to say myself that when I saw hetalia characters they weren't being disrespectful to their flags.People were alot better with flags this year then in '10 i'm so proud of us all <3

I do believe it's not the same as a regular flag.

I have a prussian flag but it has two points at the end it's not square
