@teddy i agree with the third choice too. My choices for myself so far are Teddiursa Poochyena Umbreon Houndoom Munchlax Spoink Skitty or Shinx. For my boyfriend, the choices are Ursaring Mightyena Espeon Houndour Snorlax Grumpig Poochyena Luxio or Luxray.

Id love to see that! Id totally do some tough pokemon gijinkas but im just too lazy lol i also want to do a cubchoo and beartic gijinka and then find a teddiursa and ursaring to battle with lol or vice versa. Also want to do the same with Spoink and Grumpig vs Tepig and his second evolotion (i dont know that ones name). I think it would be cool to do a first gen vs fifth gen pokemon gijinka battle at some point. I feel that a lot of the fifth gen pokemon are remakes of some of the first and second generations.

Okay, so its a toss up between the pokemon i like from each generation. 5th gen is Cubchoo and Beartic. 4th gen is Luxio and Luxray. 3rd gen is between poochyena and mightyena or whimser (whismer?) and Duskull. 2nd gen is between houndour and houndoom or espeon and unbreon. And lastly, 1st gen is meowth and persian.

I don't know what I'm doing. I want to do Illumine, but I would need the dress/jacket thing commissioned and thats going to be a pain, plus the wig would probably be expencive.
I'll write you guys down. The Kisame I brought with me this year was a con-virgin and hes coming back with me next year. I'm going to have my sisters go this year as pokemon gijinkas. I'll have my mom send me a picture of them together so i can get help in deciding who they should be.

So I found the wigs for these~! Only problem is the wig I'm getting for Nidorino is a little brighter, but it should be fine, it's still pretty dark. I'll post pics when I have them! :)

I was the Jirachi (in the long white evening dress and yellow hat) organizing everything, although I have to admit I was flying by the seat of my proverbial pants the whole time, lol!

I do make up effects. So you take a zipper and using latex and such, glue it to your face. I just have to make sure I leave enough unglued so I can zip and unzip it to talk. I haven't actually done it before on my mouth (I've done an effect w/ a zipper on my arm), so I may experiment with it sometime soon.

Will anybody be cosplaying Dragon Champion Lance? I have a Maid!Dragonite gijinka planned, and everyone who has ever played the generation two games knows that Lance should not be seen without a Dragonite.
Heck, if we could get enough dragon Pokemon cosplayers together, it could be a cosplay group... in fact, I kinda like the sound of that.

It seems that I have to restitch my Ghetsis cosplay, as I didn't have a sewing machine until well after the con and the decorations were held on via iron-ons, which have since shredded. Aaaand I saw some prototype art of him and now want to remake the yellow in the gold from there. Plus the prototype had him with severe scarring around his eye so now I sort of want to do that even though it'd still be under the eyepatch.
How can I be more of a perfectionist?! Well, short of forging the mantle out of bronze.

That venue worked perfectly, seeing as the Pokemon Gijinka battles immediately followed (lots of Pokemon cosplayers around, a wide open area for lots of battles).
I'd like a repeat of the venue from last year.

They are setting up a photoshoot schedule for kumoricon 2012. You will need to check with them about the pokemon photoshoot. I am also open to battles again. I was the umbreon participating last year. I was the one with brown hair. Though I might get a wig this year for my cosplay.

Ahahaha really? Yeah, I have a sewing machine now, like I said, but I'll probably have to re-cut all the applications.
Although I feel like I should wait for BW2 just in case he gets a redesign!

Hmm. Who all are coming as manga characters? I'd love to see a Hazel sometime, from Magical Pokemon Journey. If we get some more manga people, I can bring back my Kaede from How I Became A Pokemon Card (although when I wore it before everyone thought I was a regular Rocket grunt).

So, since we were hoping to make this an offical event, I talked to David Vincent (for those of you who dunno who he is, he is the voice actor best known for Grimmjaw or Grimmjou I've seen it spelled, from Bleach) and he said that he would love to be an offical reff or announcer man at the event if it goes through and if he's coming back to kumoricon.

I'm friends with him on facebook lol and I met him at kumoricon last year. I'm one of his biggest fans, and I love his acting, not just his voice overs lol I think I was the only one who went to his panel that knew he was an actor as well as a voice actor. He's really nice ^-^
And I'm not sure if is a huge pokemon fan, but he said he thought it would be fun and he'd be honored lol
But if he isn't a guest this year, I'm not sure if hell be able to make it. It really all depends on if he has the time and is here for the con.

I have revamped my Jirachi cosplay (it now resembles a high society gala outfit), and I also sewed up a Maid!Dragonite cosplay.
Jirachi will go to the Kumoricon ball, and Dragonite will oversee the gijinka battles (forum thread: http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=16396.0)

Aah yeah, I've seen his new outfit and there's no way I'm doing both. It's way too different from his old one.
Although does anyone have any thoughts on getting the prongs on his hair to stay up? I've only worn this at two cons now and the wig refuses to hold its shape, and falls apart after a day.

Slowly getting around to finishing my leafeon, Just bought brown ankle boots and fingerless gloves for the paw parts, and light tan shorts, so I'm just missing the top, ears,tail and the bleaching and dyeing of my hair.

Instead of Esepon i will be going as blitzle for black and white pokemon. I have the basic outfit done i just need to make the stripes and sew them on, make the ears and make the head piece and tail.

I'm bringing Lightning Pikachu again this year. I'm hoping to get new parts for it next month, and I'll probably end up jumping between the Final Fantasy photo shoot and the Pokemon one depending on the times.
Also, my brother is cosplaying as Red for sure all weekend. I'm sure I can convince him to come to the photo shoot with me. He'll probably end up throwing his pokeball at my head the entire time, though.

I am going to try hard to get pictures with any and all pokemon at con. I am going as a pokemon themed pinup girl for at least the first day. It's kind of a time consuming costume though, and I have 2 others to cycle through, so I don't know if I will be in it the other 2 days. I will be most obvious through my pokeball brassiere and polka-dot skirt, so if you happen to notice me, pretty please come say hi so I can snag your picture!

Man, there's a costume I want to do but there's insufficient art of it. I want to do the Ponigiri seller/Naka from Pokemon Conquest, but we only ever see her upper body from the front. No lower body, no back views.

Well, normally when you can't see the rest of their outfit (like with the magikarp seller or something) you can just assume that the pants and shoes would match that of those type of sellers in japan. He probably wears like cut off shorts and sandles lol

I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to cover the ears in fabric yet >.< PLus time wise. I've still got 2 other cosplays to put together but if I have extra time I'll see about doing it.

Just do the tail and attach it to a long piece of ribbion the matches your dress. I cosplay as umbreon and I have my tail on a ribbon that I just tie around my waist.

Over lay the fabric over the ears and sew the two pieces of fabric together. Also you can try going to the cosplay help form to see if other people have an idea on how to make it work.

@LadyFiede - hey hey and thankies ^~^ So I made my Vaporeon headband out of fleece and wired each fin to keep it standing up/out. The side fins are permanently wrapped and glued to a headband (that has two bands connected as one; hope that made sense XD ) and the top fin is an attachable one because I needed to use a thick wire for it.
If you want to see more semi-up close pics of the Vaporeon headband, I actually have some, just let me know.

The we tested it and it was pretty okay. I went for a shorter tail then most.
