Hey All!
As we get in gear to make K-con a great success this year, I am excited to announce a Pre-Party at the Someday Lounge, for those of you who can't wait all the way until Saturday to don costumes, roam the streets of Portland, and cause general consternation among the uninformed.
Now, if you were at last year's opening ceremony, you will remember that Takohachi Taiko nearly blew your face off with their drumming power and agility. Takohachi will kick off our event this year as well with some intense street-side taiko drumming, followed by The Laser Trolls, a cyborg rock group specially formulated for Kumoricon, who will be transmitting twisted sounds borne out of the digital swamp. There will a few special guests as well, which I'll announce as we line 'em up.
Here are the details:
Where: The Someday Lounge, downtown PDX
When: Friday Night, Sept. 2. 8pm. Music from 9:00pm
(http://www.somedaylounge.com/)
How much: $5
Who: 21 and over (wish it could be all ages, but them's the rules :'()
I can't wait to see you there... Cosplayers of course are encouraged to come out en masse; we'll have a costume contest/showcase for those who would like to participate, or just bring your self, ready to dance and be inspired by fellow Kumori brethren. Cheers!

Yeah, two parties... one in Portland and one in Vancouver, so no one has to go very far to celebrate!
