Title: AMV Trailers?
Post by: Sui Fong on July 05, 2011, 08:54:07 pm
ok, i was watching a trailer and an anime popped into my mind. So of course i downloaded the anime (legally) and got the trailer and made my amv. Now my question is should i put in the "coming soon to theatres", ect. stuff in it? Would it be bad to just leave it like it is w/o those words? would ppl still be able to tell what it is?

A: ANYTHING YOU WANT, except swear words.

Or nothing. Some 'trailers' show cut scenes, ending with a title of a ficticious movie or TV series.
Other AMVs that end up in the 'Trailer' category are alternate openers - take an existing anime opening song, or a TV show, past or present, and then illustrate it with anime. These types of projects work by letting the lyrics of the opener do the talking.

Trailers may include overlay texts such as 'Starring [character name]' and sometimes include '...as [other character name]' if it's a crossover project.

HAVE FUN!!!
