Sometime during Kumoricon 2011 (during con time), perhaps in karaoke, or outside the hotel, we could organize a group of people who will sing the Nico Nico Douga Kumikyoku. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cepXLReu1aU Here's an example.

We would need to practice, obviously, so we could organize times to meet up somewhere and practice in the summer :3

That would be amazing if you could help with that ^^. We'll be sure to take extra precautionary measures to protect your stuff and make sure it doesn't get stolen if you decide to bring it.
@Wrath: I have work in the weekday afternoons but I should be able to do weekends =P We'll have multiple practices, so if you people can't make it to one, we can always catch them up at the next one. Thanks for recruting~! ^^

:3..I actually already had one x'D But you can use it to practice. Once we get more people, we can talk about breaking up lines and stuff, since some parts of the song overlap in vocals.
Also, please list the area you live in, or can travel to, approximately (ex. Beaverton, Oregon) so that I can try to arrage a good meeting place for practices!

o.o we might not be dancing. That might be hard x'D but if someone can come up with something nice and simple, then we can.

Day 2 wouldn't be good for me, since I'm running around withe the Sailor Moon Panel and photoshoot

Day 1 is quite busy, since there are a lot of photoshoots and stuff going, but it seems to best day to do it. Plus we'll probably get a bigger crowd watching us on day 1 8D
However, I want more people's input on this too o3o~
Day 1 may be alright, depending on when we decide to do it, because I'm expecting to possibly get a table in AA, I have the vocaloid photoshoot, plus auditions for Kumoricon Idol, and I'm hanging with my friend who's flying out here all the way from Massachusetts to see me (but I can drag him to watch us sing 8D)
But I want to hear what more people think of it =P

:D sounds great! Amateurs and pros all welcome. I wouldn't consider myself higher than amateur actually either xD
I'm thinking maybe we should think about sometime to practice, since I have some friends who're also participating.

:3 it sounds hard at first, but it's quite easy to pick up if you listen to it a few times. The background music already gives you the melody line to sing, actually, so all you need to do is learn how the lyrics fit it.
If you can't join the facebook page, that's fine as well :3 I just need some way of contacting those who plan on participating~
As an FYI, you CAN print out a lyrics sheet and use it during the event :3 no one's expecting you to memorize it.
And now to address a separate matter, we have to start thinking about a few practice dates =P And where to have them. I was thinking perhaps some park like the park near the Beaverton City Library, or something.

SO! A general update! We're having our first PRACTICE Next week on Saturday! It will be from 3 to 5 P.M. at the park by the Beaverton City Library! If you're going to participate in singing, you should come if you can. If you have any questions, go ahead and shoot.
Please bring to the practice:
-yourself (duh)
...-a printout of the lyrics-- we'll be splitting up the members into 2 groups so that we can do the layered parts of the singing well
-any speakers or equipment we can use to play the music loud enough for us to practice with if you have it-- I'll bring a CD and my mp3 player + cord to hooke up if necessary

YOU CAN COUNT ME IN SISTA! just the thing is... i work on saturdays... i only have mondays off... and SOMETIMES fridays or saturdays depending on how busy it is. BUT i will let you know when i'm free and see if i can attend or not or we can make a small group practice for those who can't make it on the big group days and we could practice somewhere.
i have friday off this week. so maybe i can join in then?

I'm afraid I can't do this friday because I have work on that day TT-TT orz. BUT. I have a lot of time off from work during July and August, so I can try to arrange everything around people's schedules.
It'd be helpful if people could tell me which days are good form them and which days are not :3

SO AS A REMINDEr. THE FIRST PRACTICE IS TODAY AT 3-5 PM AT BEAVERTON CITY LIBRARY PARK. we meet by the playstructure. I'll be holding a sign that says
Nico nico douga Kumikuoku Kumoricon on it, so look for me! PLEASE COME!
and bring your own lyrics sheets :'3 my printer isn't heavy duty and I'm not printint off 100 pages of kumikyoku lyrics orz.

how'd it go? also a good place might be a park somewhere nearby both portland and beaverton area. OR maybe the zoo too. since it's close to the max, and people could just get off there, and we can all meet in the tunnels, and practice at the park there.

I walked around for 45 minutes with a huge neon-highlighter sign and no one showed up. So I think I'll pick somewhere closer to Portland next time :'3

I can probably get a friend or two of mine in on it as well. I know one will love to do this and she's wonderful at singing. Another might join if I say we can do it together in our Rin and Len cosplay, otherwise she might be too shy to do something like this.
