Oh my gosh you guys, I just finished this series.
It is, without a doubt, one of the best anime I have ever seen. The plot, the writing, the design of everything was all amazing. The actual art of the characters (especially their faces) could be a lot better, but I would legitimately forget I was watching an anime while watching the series.
Has anyone else watched this yet?

I'm in love with PMMM. Some friends and I already have a full group for Cosplay, including a mascot Kyubey, who will have contracts for everyone to sign! :)
If you you like Magical Girl anime, you'll love Madoka. If you like psychological anime, you'll love madoka. If you like action/fighting anime, you'll love madoka. If you call yourself an anime fan, you'll LOVE MADOKA.
I haven't watch many new series, infact it was the first series I watched all the way through in a few years (last was Rose of Versallies to show how up to date I am haha). I seriously reccomend this to everyone.

Someone has recommended that we show this at our anime club. In fact, we've got our "election for new anime" day today; it might be on the list of contenders...

Hmmm. I think I'll have to put this back on my list of anime to check out. The Latinish title caught my eye enough to be interested... then I heard someone saying they found elements of it disturbing in a bad way, and checked it off.
But if you guys say it's the kind of anime that makes you think, that's good enough for me to add it back. (^_^)

Parts of it are kind of disturbing, but not terrifyingly so. I'm a total wuss and I loved it.
I'd put the disturbing level far below Higurashi or Umineko.

I had to stop watching this one. It was just too evil. It's the same kind of eveil used in Swift's "A Modest Proposal." Or "Soylent Green"
But I did think it was a well done anime. If you can handle the premise, it's good TV.

I got to where we "really" know what time it is. Somewhere between 6 and 8. I think.
I must have been afraid of another School Days ending or something.
But, I do think some people should watch this. I just don't like evil to be so....self-deludedly amoral. It's real easy to rationalize abhorrent behavior this way.
Besides, that's why we don't let kids make contracts!
But you know, in some ways, this is kind of a parable of supporting the elderly. Or at least I could see it as such. Especially in Japan, where there are more and more old people, and fewer and fewer young ones.

It turns out that I was wrong; it wasn't on the list. I'll still mention this to the Director of Programming, though. I can see her wanting to show this, too.

I'm just going to say it now.
The world is ending. Gen Urobochi wrote a semi-happy ending. Pigs are flying. Hell is freezing over. You should all stock up on canned goods for when the zombies start hunting in packs. I know I will.

I freaking love Puella Magi. The anime is amazing, and its relatively short, so it was a big plus for me.
The ending...;A; I cried for most of episode 12, haha. The ending wasn't as sad as I figured it would be, but still wasn't what I expected.

I hope it doesn't get more depressing than it was until I had to stop.

It's written by Urobochi. It gets exponentially more depressing and grim as it goes on, except for some reason the end which i refuse to spoil.
Like i've already stated, this surprised me to a great degree. We're talking about the man behind Saya no Uta.

Trust me when I say you'll get REALLY confused if you "skip through" the series. You can't do that without ending up frustrated and not liking the series.

I am hilariously weak willed.
Within minutes of the Madoka figma going on preorder, I had it in my Hobbysearch cart and checked out.
And they're planning to do all five girls. My poor wallet will never be ready.

I just finished watching this. :) GOOD SERIES. It's like magical girls mixed with Higurashi, with maybe a little Buffy and a dash of LSD~ Ooh, and pretty animation.

Yeah, it was a good watch! :D Interesting twist on the whole magical girl scenario. Much more interesting than studying! I now find Kyubey a little terrifying, though...
