I bet you'll love Paradise Kiss. It was good, but a bit much on the fashionista front for my preferences.

Kanon?

Clannad? Clannad After Story?

Okay, so they both have lighter moments, but I bet you will like them.

School Days? woof that's one intense anime.

The Place Promised In Our Early Days

Haibane Renmei, you MUST watch this one!

Even though it has lots of action, Wolf's Rain may appeal.

My Name is Kim Sam-Soon / My Lovely Sam-Soon. It's like Bridget Jones, but Korean. It's funny.  :)

I also recommend the Hana Kimi live action adaptations.

Love*Com is so goofy and adorable. >w< Some of the side stories are out of order, as well as missing a few characters but all in all, it was pretty well done.

I liked NANA as well. There's another decently made drama. :3

This. All the talk about it in this and other threads got me to re-watch it, and it's still just as funny the second time around. Sano and Ashiya's actors are pretty darn good themselves, but Umeda, Nanba, and Nakatsu's actors do great jobs. (^_^)

(I'm referring to the j-drama "Ikemen Paradise" version... for all I know the Taiwan drama is great as well, but I've never watched it.)

So I'm guessing this is live action dramas. XP

But as Cassi said, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e is a great live action!
But watch the Japanese one. D: The other one (IMO) sucks. I highly dislike the girl who plays Mizuki (I thought it was a dude at first, too...which is the point but still. DX She's too manly for me to get into it. I don't like how much she looks like a guy or how she acts.). But the Japanese one is LOVE~<3

Peach Girl was a good drama, too. ^^ I think that one was Korean... I couldn't read the manga cause the one girl (Momo's friend...don't remember her name) pissed me off way too much in the manga. But I loved the film which I had watched first. ^^
She's not as bitchy/rude/snobby in the film which made it tolerable for me.

@Gryff: Thanks for the tip! If we're thinking about the same girl (Sae?), yeah... she's most of the reason I almost stopped watching the anime. What a #@$#@$@  $#@# %^$^%$^@$#@$. (The rest of the reason was that I wanted to kick her classmates for being dumb enough to repeatedly fall for her crap.)

@jaybug: Sorry, didn't notice your post before... do you think Kimi ni Todoke will work as a live-action? I'd love it if so, but there's a LOT of internal dialogue. That doesn't always work so well.

Can anyone reccomend some good Taiwanese/Chinese dramas? My AP Chinese homework for the summer is to watch some sort of Chinese media and write a paragraph summary about it, so dramas would be perfect.
