Okies, so I bet you all remember the Pokemon Gijinka Battles 2010 thread. (here ~> http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=11701.0 ) <~~original post
Well, seeing as the last post was right before K-con '10 in like August, and the maker of said thread has (to my knowledge) left the forum, I am sugguesting that we make this thread again and do these battles in the park across from the hotel this year. Anyone want to join?
The rules will be basically the same, with a few edits.
Rules :
For Pokemon -
No ubers: Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys (all forms), Dialga, Garchomp, Giratina (and origin), Groudon, HO-OH, Kyogre, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Shaymin Sky Forme, Wobbuffet,and Wynaut.
No legendary pokemon.
All evolutions will be welcome, within reason.
Pokemon can/will hold/wear an item their trainer may give them.
Pokemon must use the attacks that the trainer tells them to use.
No fakemon.
For Trainers -
No godmodding. In other words, Dont attack over and over; give the other trainer a chance to attack.
Trainers do not have to be cosplaying to play.
Have fun with it!
Trainers will pick their pokemon before the con begins, from the list of pokemon in this thread.
For Battles -
Like the original post, moves allowed and teams of trainers/pokemon will be set up before the con.
Each trainer will have a certain number of approved items.
No cheating!
Physical attacks like Headbutt and Tackle MUST NOT HURT THE OTHER PERSON
DO NOT attack with the intent of harming the other person; this is just a game.
If anyone would like to add any other rules, please PM me, or make a sugguestion on this thread.
If you like this idea, you can sign up for a position, or just come and watch. Im thinking this can be on the second day of the con, in the park across from the Hilton Hotel. If anyone doesnt know yet, this years con will be at the Hilton in Vancouver Washington and the Red Lion Hotel.

I'd so be up for this! I'm going to be Touko/White for...one of the days. I'm not sure which. I'll try to coordinate it with this, though.

If Hitmonchan or Pikachu are allowed then I'll have those ready by K-con. As before, I will see about supplying my own effects and gear, based on the item and moves I'm issued.
This time I will ponder and consider carefully when this is, when the cosplay contest is, and if I'm doing either, or both with room to breathe in between.

Sorry ive been away for a long time people... ive had a bad couple of months and i most likely wont be going to the con anymore...if i do, itll only be for one day.

I am cosplaying as Umbreon. Also Pixie is arranging Pokemon battles it is under Pokemon Cosplay 2011 - Gijinka Battles. Just to let you know.
