I'll spare you with the long story...
My photography final for school is suppose to be a collage of pictures you've taken yourself. You can do it as a portfolio or a video or slide show or whatever. I was thinking of doing a video with some fun music and such.
But all my cosplaying friends are hours away and don't want to drive here to do it. It's down to myself and one other friend. That being said I was wondering if there were any cosplayers in the Portland City Area who would want to come and be part of it.
I'm not the best photographer but I'm trying! It'll be a free photo shoot for those who just are bored on the weekends and want something to do. I'll email you the photos when we're finished and such.
All costumes are welcomed in any form. The more detailed and elaborate the better but I'm not picky one bit
If you have questions or comments or want to take part just say so and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Any Cosplay is welcomed though it would seem this is more Ouran Host Club themed (that doesn't mean you can't still come if you're something else!)

I'd love to help out with this, too. Probably the best that I could do would be to revive Mikuru, but I'd need to get a new wig for it and find a way to have the top fit better. (Got one thing taken care of, though...).
I'll also ask about my college friends who cosplay to see if they'd be able and willing to model for ya.

@Titus_Love_Doll : That would be wonderful! I do a lot of pictures here and there and am usually the one doing the photos for our cosplay group but any tips and tricks would be great. I'm working with a new camera so I'm still not use to it.

YAY! I've got at least one friend who said she'd help out, too! My fiancee said she'd be willing to help out, too, but can't do it on Sundays. Would Wednesday work for you? If my memory is working correctly, we could be down there, (wherever THERE is), around 2:30. Sound good?

Everyone! So I work Sunday's now. So if we were to do it it'd have to be more towards the evenings or sometime during the week. When are you guys free? I can even ask for a day off or something so we can work or something then.

Oh! and im still in high school so evenings would work best for weekdays. let me know what works best for you. depending on which sunday, i might be able to do something before 2 or 12. pm me and ill send you my contact stuff.

I just realized a slight problem with my Mikuru plan: I have no wig.
The one I wore the last time I was in bunnygirl mode was thrashed, and I gave my jailbird version to my fiancee's father-in-law. (You don't want to know why...). So, unless I can get a decent enough substitute for it, I might not be able to do something for you. :'(

Yeah, we've actually been planning this for some time, now. It's just taken a while to announce it formally here. In fact, I've been thinking about making a post dedicated to it.
Oh, FYI, since it's on April 1, the theme is going to be Pirates vs. Ninjas. Guests are encouraged to cosplay as anything they want, if they want to at all. We're also asking for people to NOT give us any gifts. In fact, we're looking into getting things arranged so that guests can give monetary donations to a charity of some sort.

So I think Fridays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will end up working best if you guys can. Work decided I have to now work on Sundays. I usually work until around 4 pm so if you guys are free in the evenings more, that would still work out. Same for Saturdays. What do you guys think?

I can't do tuesdays though, after school I too many after school things.

Tuesdays would end up being 12-5 or so. Around afternoon time if you do end up being free.
As for where. I was thinking we meet up somewhere simple and go someplace fitting for the shoot. For the Host Club one, I have a little cafe in mind but it's a bit fancy so they might not let us. I'd have to ask around. Any suggestions though is welcomed, especially since I'm new in the area.

I know that Tuesdays and Wednesdays will work for Chauna; we'll have to see what works for the others in the club when I talk to them tomorrow. I can call you after the meeting, if you'd like.

I'd rather fridays/saturdays. I have too much going after school that getting away isn't easy...
The Rose Gardens at Washington Park would be nice. Though there probably aren't that many flowers in bloom and it might rain...So probably not.
Director's Park would be good, and even inside the Pioneer Mall, like by the fountains.
And to the Ouran cosplayers!!! We going to do default school uniforms, or shall we do a themed outfit?
I could get a Mori if we did a themed outfit, since he doesn't have the uniform.

Alright! So let's go for the first shoot on Friday the 25th of February. Meet at Pioneer Square around noon. Bring any cosplay you want (though it seems it's mostly Host club this time around XD)
I'll be the one with the bright pink headphones, you won't be able to miss me.
Any locations you guys want to try? Keep in mind the weather probably won't be the best so we might need to migrate indoors somewhere.

@Wash: I'm not sure really. I don't know the area very much aside from the downtown Portland area. So if you have ideas or suggestions just say so. I mostly just know the area where the con was last year. Pioneer Square and such.

I was thinking that you were probably thinking about some room at the Art Institute, or something. We could do Pioneer Square, if that'd work better for you. We're coming from Vancouver, so wherever in Portland works best for you is good for us.

I'm just too lazy. I still have the number for one of my old bosses at the first Taco Bell that I worked at. I haven't talked to her since a week after KCon '09, when I was Mikuru. (In fact, Mikuru was why I called her).

If you don't mind an OC, I would like to get pics as the pirate character I play in my LARP club. I have two alternate tops to wear with the pants and boots I'll be wearing. Because he favors sword and shield, I'll be bringing the two boffer swords and shield to pose with. I will not allow anyone, even myself to play with them.
Friday at PCS sounds fine. If an OC won't work and a REAL cosplay is needed, I can appear as Mario instead, or simply come and hang with the group.

OCs are fine by me! Again, this project is just to show of the act of Costume Play so really you can wear whatever you'd like. The more elaborate and detailed the better, whether it be an OC, variation of a character or just the character themselves.

Friday works for some of the people in my club. I know that one of them will be coming as Link; I think the other one said she was going to be Bakura. Well I'm doing multiple shoots, not just the one. When is everyone else free? We can do it other days too. We're doing one Friday and we'll do more after that for sure too. I think we're planning a small one Sunday but not one hundred percent yet. Then there's the weeks following. I just need pictures done by the 11th of March.

OCs are fine by me! Again, this project is just to show of the act of Costume Play so really you can wear whatever you'd like. The more elaborate and detailed the better, whether it be an OC, variation of a character or just the character themselves.
Then costume play it will be, as I play a LOT in this costume. Ha ha harrr! ;)
Just to add to the awesomeness, I'll be wearing a pirate flag as a cape being fashionable for a rogue such as myself. And I'll leave the court gossip back in Port Royal.
With the events coming around that I have, including this epic shoot, I can feel the makings of a righteous weekend brewing. Even the weather adds to the thrill as it dares to try and snow.

Sorry for such a last minute late update... There is a shoot tomorrow (Wednesday March 2nd). We'll meet up at the Vue is an apartment complex across from one of the PSU campus' and between the science building. If you take the free rail car, you'll end up right there. It's off of Park street I believe...

i like guinea pig day better. im gonna wear my faux corset (it was bought at hot topic and isnt really a corset. it tries to be one), a skirt hitched up, leggings, and combat boots. just to show how much school spirit i have.
