I will most likely not be attending this one. (distance and time conastraints)
But I would like to toss out a suggesiton/Request that might get voted on.
I have heard that Mew-Con has fallen on some rather rough financial times so I was wondering if Kcon might be able to help out a fellow convention in some way. I dont really know how to word this or anything as I am no diplomat but I would hate to see a convention fall to the wayside when there is help within reach.

I actually just found out today how people could individually make tax-deductible donations to Morak Events, the 501(c)3 non-profit that runs MEW.
Go to http://www.mewcon.com/
Where you see the Facebook f and the Twitter t buttons, there is a button with a picture of a wrapped gift. (Mid-way down, left-hand side.)
That "gift" button is the link to make a donation via pay-pal.
I will not know until at least the 21st whether I can make this meeting.
-
I can't make it to this one either, :( I dont make it to salem often
-
I'm hoping to. We're going to be discussing this at our next meeting this Saturday. I know that some people want to rejoin staff, as well as at least one person who's interested in possibly joining. Two of them can drive, but who's to say who CAN drive.

That's good to know.

I can't go to this meeting also but I want to rejoin staff and have my hubby join staff this year .. Is there a way where I rejoin for staff before deadline?
-
Has the meeting location for just a couple days from now been officially set yet?

E-mail your director... they may be able to take your form via e-mail :)
-
How long do the meetings generally last?
-
It's rare for a meeting this early in the year to last beyond 2:30. I'd say that'd be a safe bet.
-
cool beans, thanks.

In honor of the Kumoricon Meeting being in Salem, Blue Moon Anime will be open Sunday, Janurary 23rd from 3:00pm until 5:00pm for anyone interested in stopping by. We hope to see you all there ^_^ Thank you!
-
CAKE there will be CAKE (my late birthday cake)
Is anyone in the portland/salem area interested in bringing freshly chilled milk there for me? I don't think it'd do well over a 4 hour drive from the Seattle area.
I'm willing to fully reimburse for a gallon or two of milk at normal price (should be around 5 to 7 dollars for two, or about 3-3.50 for one).

oh awesome thank you.

It looks like the carpool I'm in will be stopping to get gas at a costco near the meeting, so I'll grab the milk there.
I am also bringing a hard copy (35 print) of the latest version of http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=13985.msg651758#msg651758 (http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=13985.msg651758#msg651758) for discussion at the meeting. I think it very likely we won't reach quorum, but since it is the location mentioned feel it's prudent to hand it out.

SWEET!!! Cake is best with milk! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL!!!
-
omg I completely forgot about the meeting today I'm really sorry I didn't show up I had personal problems that I'm dealing with right now and forgot the meeting I will go to the next one when it comes up...
-
It's fine. Things happen in the real world that are more important than Kumoricon. Besides, it's still early in the year; there's 8 more meetings before the con.
-
Does anybody remember the library that Phillip said the next meeting would be at? I thought he said "Midland" but I can't seem to find any by that name. I'll keep looking, though.
-
Midland Branch, Multnomah County Library. But there will be post made announcing the info as well.
-
Groovy. Thanks!

For anyone needing to plan this far in advance, I think this is the place.

I believe we had a meeting here a little over a year ago, November time frame.
-
Well, if that is the one, it looks like I'll be riding the Yellow Line, then the #20. It looks pretty close to Gresham...
-
Ah yes over near mall 205. one of my old stomping grounds
-
So, does that mean that this is the correct location? I've got some friends who are also interested in coming to a meeting for joining staff.
