If you click on Sign Me up and go to register prices is $6 for one day or $10 for the 2 days.
And I think the website has only been up for 2 months or so and it's the first year for this con which is why the website doesn't have a ton of info atm.

Exactly that. But it says in the guidelines/rules that No more than one costume per person. I understand that most likely means don't enter yourself twice. But I want both of together because they honestly only go with each-other. But it might not work because I'll have made both costumes(not hers entirely but majority of the work on it is from me).

Yeah, I just think it means that as long as you're not trying to enter two or more different cosplays, so you have a better chance of winning, etc....
And even though you're planning on entering two cosplays mostly made by you, you'll be entering them as one entry, instead of two separate ones.

Saki, it says on the site that you're supposed to fill a form and turn it in before the contest at the con. But I didn't see a form, so I'm not totally sure...But you can't turn it in til the actual con, so I wouldn't totally worry about it.
It might be a case where they have the forms there to be filled out and such.

My name is Holly (I go by hole on coscom) and I am a representative from Wonder Northwest. Just found out about this thread and would love to give you guys updates and answer any questions you may have. We are very excited to introduce a much needed comic and pop culture convention to Portland.
I noticed some talk about the "Each contestant may only enter one costume into competition" rule. This just means we only want one person per person to enter, this is to make sure everyone has a fair chance of winning. As we do not want a flood of costumes made or worn by one person. At the moment we don't have a group category under the prizes, in fact, it was something that had not occurred to us! Consider me and another organizer are both cosplayers who have entered into competitions as groups. This is something I feel should be revised, and I will get back to you guys as soon as possible about that. As far as entries, we will have sign up sheets available at the convention.
I am in charge of the Lolita Fashion show, and I am so excited to put this on! I know that Oregon has a pretty sizable lolita community, and I'm excited to show it off! There will also be entry forms available at the convention for signing up.
We have most of our guests lined up, but we have yet to complete the schedule list, this is something we are close to completing.

Having bought or altered shoes is okay! We will not be having the categories split up into novice, intermediate, and master because we are still a small convention, and our contest is small as well. Hopefully in the future!

Please bring a reference picture if you are basing your costume off an already created character (Someone from an anime for example). However, since you mention that your designs are original, A reference is not needed (unless you have one already made).

Probably try to see if I can get my Cheshire outfit finally done, or I may do my new Cheshire character....If I get him done in time.

Depends...You're outfit is more along the lines of royal steampunk, rather than rebal. So probably no eye piece, but maybe an accesory of some kind. Like a nice parasol would be fun to "gear" up XD
I was gonna make a cane to go with my outfit.
Also, if I could have the hat you used, I made a metal flower that would be really cool to put there.
(I'm coming home early tomorrow from school, if you wanted to come over around noon or so, you may.)

Question about the Lolita Fashion show. I'm planning on doing it as a Steampunk Aristocrat Kodona, which is know is fine.
Was just wondering if we had another outfit and if there was time, could we change and walk again to show a different outfit?
I have a more "casual" kodona outfit that might show the style a little better, since that's what most people wear. Just wanted to make sure before I try getting everything together.

Yes. ID really just makes it easier for pre-reg so that we know no one is stealing someone else's badge. If you register at the door you don't have to worry about it.

So, I ran into some peeps and it was pretty cool. I didn't get to stay very long because I had to meet up with a friend around 3PM to do some studying. But, it was good seeing people! ^_^ There were a few people I saw but they passed by so quickly or were surrounded by too many people so I didn't wanna disturb. D:
Hopefully next time this con rolls around I won't have a cold/allergies and feel awful. D: Always seems to happen whenever a small con runs through Portland. XD

Had such a ballin' time. Awesome friends, awesome convention, what's more to ask for? I ended up winning a star wars track jacket for my Ramona Flowers hammer and I got a bunch of people that asked me for commissions and that kind of just from seeing my hammer and my Kumatora wig.
Best convention in Oregon in my book. I will be back next year and I'll probably be volunteering. Also Karaoke is the single best way to end a con.

I had an AWESOME time you guys! 8D Other than the first day that tired me out (and made me hungry) to the point of..well...My inner demons sort of let out at the end of the day when i got home (A.K.A a very, very, very bitchy mood). But Sunday was AMAZING! The costumes were awesome, the Karaoke was awesome, the huge ammount of button pins i got was awesome, EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME!

And as to your question about how we get away it, it's really quite simple. We are trained performers who are hired to perform at various events and establishments. Now, that's a big difference from just a couple of random con goers who suddenly think "Hey! Let's start fighting with replica swords in the middle of the hallway!" and proceed to cause the hotel staff to soil themselves. Especially since we were being asked by Billy Galaxy, the man who organized Wonder Northwest, to basically do what we were doing. In short, we were essentially the hired entertainment (for lack of a better term).

Right. That makes sense. I guess I was more thinking how lots of people stopped in the middle of the hallways to watch and sing along. Where as at Kumoricon, hotel staff starts telling people to keep moving if you stop for more than a few moments. ^^; I certainly wouldn't want just random people to start battling in the middle of the con. xD

My original plan was to meet my friend at 12:30pm, study until 2:30pm, 3:00pm then take the quick drive across the river to the hotel. Well, turns out my friend wasn't going to be available until 2:30pm at the earliest. So, since it was already 11:00am, I stopped my studying, got ready, and headed out the door for WNW. I stayed until around 3pm or so, at which point I drove to my friend's house and we studied for about 2-3 hours.
