(My friend and I are wearing the transformed versions in the evening and probably raving as them that way, but...I don't want to tangle the wig! D8) Oh, and a quick wig color question! Which would look better? A dark blue, or a violet color for Stocking's first layer of hair? I was even thinking of dark blue with black in it as well...

Finding mix colored wig is usually the best way to go! It's really your pref.

Merina- I was planning on getting a navy blue wig from EpicCosplay since their wigs apparently NEVER tangle and are super thick. But gahhh the one I want is $52, and then I need a pink one too ;~;
This is going to be an expensive costume... Just the wig might cost over $100 D8

Oh. My. God. You and I are on the same wave length! I was working with the color options of Epiccosplay, too! Their Purple is to die for, so that's my trouble And I hear great reviews from them as well. We're definitely thinking of the same wigs, I want the $52 ones, and I'm so cheap...I'm thinking of wefting pink into the wig rather than buying two just to save money... (Then again, when Christmas rolls around, I can probably use some money to buy another wig...)

I was going with the combining of two wigs together, but I'm thinking of ways to save money, since her transformed! Version is going to cost me an arm and a leg. But of course, it also shows a lesser quality wig as you mentioned. I've seen a few wig attempts with very little pink, just enough to show on the bangs... Which clearly isn't good enough when the back of her hair is full on pink, correct? So much work, haha! OTL;

Well I was also thinking of getting a used pink wig off of coscom or somewhere similar. I've heard methods of getting wigs to not tangle. I think I heard that ethnic hairspray works in wigs and keeps them from tangling, so a cheaper pink wig (or wigs) could work.

You are seriously ingenious. I hadn't thought about that! Not to mention it would really help lower the dent in my wallet...Maybe I'll order my Blue/Purple wig in a month or so, and try searching for a pink used wig. :]

That would tangle very easy lol. you could always trim it though. And I heard there was some sort of thing you can do to make it semi tangle free...but I forgot what it was.

The only thing is if I ordered that wig...Trimming would be an understatment. I'd seriously cut a fourth off, because I can't imagine having a wig that long without it tangling or being a big hassle. OTL Maybe I'll stick with buying a wig and wefting pink into it.
And is Fantasy sheep a trustworthy seller?
And you're right, Vampire-Kameko, it does look a tad thin. (But you also have to put into perspective that Stocking clearly has two-toned hair, so being able to really notice it via the thin-ness of the wig is somewhat of a plus for accuracy, even if it being thin is a turn off, haha!)

I've ordered from Fantasy-Sheep and I love their wigs~! :) It took a little bit over 2 weeks to get to me but they said that on their page and because it came from...Hong Kong? I think. But yeah, other than being expensive, they're pretty dang epic. 8)

Considering the length of the wig for the price, I can't complain too much about the said price, haha! (Even if I'm chopping some of it off...)
But thanks for giving me a personal review on them, I've hardly bought wigs off ebay based sellers, haha! And shipping isn't a big deal, since my next con is Sakuracon. :]

Hey, for Kneesocks, I was thinking that I would buy this (http://cgi.ebay.com/WHITE-VOCALOID-HATSUNE-MIKU-PONYTAIL-COSPLAY-HAIR-WIG-/270668614641?pt=US_CSA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions&hash=item3f051b4bf1) wig, and make a VERY weak light blue sharpie dye and dye it. Then take the wefts off of one clip, and sew it onto the other and layer it and hairspray it a bit to get it more poofy, then figure some way to make the ponytail less heavy/make the weight more centered. (the horn might help with that.)
Do you think that would work? XD

Katie- I agree, the blue is a tad too bright for my taste, and I think Navy is what her blue actually is. If the wig was a few shades darker, I feel it would probably work. So if they make it darker I'll consider it, haha.
And Haley: (is it ok for me to call you by your first name?! I never asked!) I can't see the pic, but what I saw from the link's description, it seems like it would work. Sharpie dying is a lot of work for a wig of that length, but if you can find the time, it will probably work really well! I'd suggest washing it a few times gently after you dye it, only because sometimes the dye can rub off and stain your costume. And I think rather than poofing the wig, just styling it and cutting it might help with the weight? Oh, and if you make the horn into a clip, you could clip the horn into the wig cap and the wig, which would help support the ponytail? Sorry I rambled, me and my opinions, haha! xD;

Yeah for my Stocking wig I think I'll go with getting a navy wig and either wearing my Princess Bubblegum one under it or buying one to cut apart and sew on.

Oh, I'm gonna be ordering from Cosplay DNA,I think that's the second one on your list I think they are supposed to be good. Also, they have heat resistant and combable wigs (I think that might mean that they are tangle free, idontknow)

I've heard some good reviews about them! And combable? Maybe just easier to detangle, rather than tangle free? I wish wigs were tangle-free, but it seems hard to accomplish in longer wigs. ): (If it is tangle free, omg I'd order from them forever)

Well I've heard EpicCosplay wigs are tangle free, so I was going to get them from there.
...But the second and last ones you posted look really nice. I think I might get a pink Princess Bubblegum one from there just to see how it is, and then if it's nice I can buy more *_*

I really like this seller, I bought my Miku wig from them, and it ships pretty fast! The wig was nice and soft, and the same color as the picture. The only problem is that it's slightly tangled now, but I didn't try that one method that makes wigs tangle less. I still gotta find it uhgg. Katie you told me about that. Do you know where to find that tutorial?

DO you guys have any advice on making backlace and stripes? Especially backlace?

I know Cristina used a papercraft pattern but I think used a thicker paper and painted it the right color.
There's also a tutorial for Stripes that someone made that I have saved if you want to see it.

I used semi flexible plastic using a paper craft pattern. I cut it out and glued it then painted it. I only used plastic because I made it light up :B
