Our next General Meeting will be held Saturday, October 23, at 1:00 PM at the Central Library in Portland, Oregon.

General meetings are open to the public. Meet and plan with other staff, find out about joining staff or become a volunteer, and learn about open staff positions. Bring interested friends!

That's the goal! But I don't want to make promises or announcements because there are things that the Board has to do before we're ready to open Staff Reg 2011. If everything is ready in time, I'll post a reply in this thread and modify the announcement.

I will be there with my fiance (hoefully) to have her sign up as well, and REG will be unveiling a new item we discovered in the locker.

The meeting is the same day as the Le Cordon Bleu Graduation Ceremony, which also happens to be in Portland. And I'm Graduating. SO CLOSE, YET SO FAR. I'm not sure if we'll be finished by 1PM (it's generally a pretty short ceremony), but if we are, Jeni and I can TRY to make it before we head back to Eugene? I might show up in Chef Garb, though, if that's the case. Hope nobody minds. |D;

You would look adorable in chef garb. Though I don't know whether I can afford to go to the meeting, I know I would literally LOL if you modified it to come as The Swedish Chef from The Muppet Show! (Have any rubber chickens?)

The website is currently locked except (I believe) for news updates such as meetings, events, and election results. When the Director of Publicity and her team are ready to roll over to the 2011 site, the forms will go up with the rest of it. I have not been informed of the estimated date of completion for that.

Since the org chart reorganizing meeting was last weekend, will the KC website be updated prior to the 10/23 meeting, so that anyone potentially interested in joining staff, continuing to be staff, or returning to staffing after an absence can see any potential changes that may have been made in any department, as to potential job titles/positions? If so, yay! Perhaps an announcement in this or another thread would be helpful, to draw folks' attention to it. If not, by when might it be updated? Thanks tons!

I was worried we'd have to cancel! But we didn't. We ended up with 33 by the beginning of the meeting. We started a little late, but only 15 minutes. Con time is getting closer and closer to human time!

Okay, since I wasn't at the meeting until after 3, I didn't hear diddly poo about what happened. Unless there's something unexpected or forgotten, the main thing that I'm wanting to know about is if the next meeting has been scheduled and a location has been determined. Thanks!

I'll have the minutes up soon, but the next meeting is December 18, as is the winter staff party, and they are both at the same location as last year's winter staff party: Phoenix Inn in Tigard.
