Title: AMV Editor, RolltheStampede passed away this morning
Post by: thundercatlord on September 28, 2010, 07:07:46 pm
The AMV community has lost a great editor and a good friend to many. Justin Rollins (RolltheStampede) lost his battle with cancer this morning around 4am. I had no idea he was even sick. I know many of you knew him, or knew of him so I wanted to make this thread for all of us to pay our respects.

Roll was a good man. I had the honor of competing against him in AMV Iron Chef at Kumoricon 2009. Last time I saw him was April at Sakura Con 2010. I'm so in shock right now. He will be missed.

I can't say I knew him but it's obvious he touched a lot of people positively in his life.  RIP.

Oh my goodness, that is awful! I only met Roll once but I was absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity. With no exaggeration, Roll is the creator that made me get into AMVs to begin with and his style and amazing sense of humor I idolize to this day. He and his contribution to the AMV community will be sorely missed. I am very saddened by this news.
