So this years Capcom vs. SNK gathering blew. I expected a lot more people to show up and it was only like 4 people, lets try this again but just with KoF people. I will be getting B. Jenet done finally since she's my only new cosplay for this con. Uhhh, lets just start gathering people to do this. Post who you are doing.

I'm doing Leona for Sakura-con. I have her pants, her shoes, her earrings, and the sports bra.
I also think I might have figured out her wig. It's going to involve hair falls, wire, loose wefts, and lots of work.

For me, I think I'd have to get a wig for Oswald, because I'm planning on growing my hair out again, should I choose to be Ranma or some other long-haired character in '12. (I know it won't be long enough for '11).

Even though Oswald is no longer on my signature, I have been thinking about having him as an option, if it looks like all of my other choices will fall apart. It's sort of hard to say at this point, though... for now, I'm saying that Oswald is off my list, but is still being considered.

It's hard to tell with your pic, plus when I met her, it was towards the end of the con, so her wig may have been a little bit disheveled.

Sooo... There's kind of this HUGE possibility, that I'll be coming as Mature and KinkyFriedChicken will be coming as Vice.
You may want to just put us in the "Maybe" category for now, but yeah... We're really hoping to get them done in time for Kumori-con.
We may even have a Rugal, if we can convince a friend to be him.

Mmmm, I was gonna throw in a vote for Day 2 if everyone was cool with it, sometime in the afternoon preferably. B.Jenet is going to be a pain to get into I'm sure with all of the fashion tape I'm gonna have to use so I would like to get some use out of it and wear it the longer day. I'm pretty much cool with anything but Day 3 though.
As for location, I have no idea. The park seemed to be a popular spot when they had it back forever ago.

I think Day 1 might be better, just because the Pokemon shoot is on Day 2. But so long as we schedule it reasonably, Day 2 could work if someone lets me change in their hotel room or something. Drifloon is uncomfortable and I'm totally creeped out about wearing it 'cause of what happened last year at Kumoricon. WTF. I still wish those pictures popped up somewhere.
Um...does anyone have any tips or advice on sewing? I need MAJOR help with Shermie's shirt and skirt. I'm worried about the diamond in the chest on the shirt...if I cut it out of a regular stretch shirt, will it get destroyed? I'll pin and sew the edges but I'm still worried it may not hold. Also, how does I crisscross patterns on skirt?

@Leila- What you can do for the skirt is get a normal pattern for a skirt and cut it out to figure out the sizing and stuff, make sure it has a waistband that will get hidden by the shirt. So make the skirt and baste it and such to get an idea of the fit, then mark where you want the sides to be open. Take out the basting and cut the sides of the skirt with some extra to hem it. Hem it and then add bias tape on the sides for the crisscross pattern. Make the shirt go over the skirt to hide the waistband and it should be good to go. You'll probably have to install a zipper in the back of the skirt if it doesn't already have one.
And I've never worked with stretchy fabric so I can't give you help on the shirt. You could probably go on one of the help threads where the "seagulls" roam and someone will know.
And if it happens to....happen on Day 2 you can change in my hotel. I don't mind :>

It was brought to my attention how good of a Hinako I would make, and I can't help but agree.
So, swap me from Momoko to Hinako.
Speaking of Hinako, what do you think I should do for her hair?
I feel like it would be incorrect if I didn't make it THICK AS HELL.
Maybe a short wig with 2 full sized clip on ponytails?

I think that could work. My only concern with the clip on thing is where would you clip them? Since there would be a bump from the clip, so they wouldn't lay down totally flat and look like parted hair at the ends if you get what I'm saying? I dunno, I'm a super stickler for accuracy in most things. I don't think it would look bad at all though and would probably be the easiest way to do it.
If you are crazy like me though, I'd probably weft together two wigs to get the accurate thickness of the wig and then style it from there. I have no experience wefting wigs but if you do decide to go that route, I'm sure Mei Long could offer a little advice.
Also hooray! No doubles now! Well I guess there is one double if Washougal goes from a maybe to confirmed.

I'm going to reprise Yamazaki or do something new. I always wanted to try Rugal... But Yama is a ton easier, since the costume is complete. Shermie and Chris... All we'd need is a Yashiro!
It would be sweet if we could get the 4 Heavenly Kings (good luck getting a Geonitz) and the rest of the followers - but even just Iori, Leona, Vice/Mature, Yamazaki is cool enough!

And damn you all! There's no chance I'm gonna get anyone else from the Garou team >: Maybe I can convince some of my dude friends to dress like the Lilian Knights though, that would be a decent trade off. I know my boyfriend would probably do it.

So since my groups Teen titans cosplay got cancelled, I'm thinking I might just have to do May Lee for K'Con. I love her character design so much, and it really shouldn't be too difficult. =]

So after looking at some possible options for a May Lee wig, I came across a wig on super sale from a seller I really like (the same place I got my Chane/Lady Gideon wig which I love) and took the $19 price tag for a normally $30 wig as a sign to buy and do the cosplay....
Here's the wig I just bought. The style is the same as the other wig I've bought from them, which when worn looks very similar to May Lee's style. There's a chance the wig will look a little too blue when it gets here, but just dying it a bit darker seemed worth the cheap price. =]

That's what I was thinking.... probably just do a bit of black or something to even out the color and darken it up a bit. I'd rather have to darken the wig, then have gone for one of the already dark wigs and had it end up with not enough of the blue color in it.
Now trying to salvage THAT would have been a real pain! XD

EDIT: Also about the black. It might not be a good idea to put any black in the wig unless you can find a true black. Most black is a really dark blackish purple so if you put it on wigs you will get a purple shine to it. I'll look around at some inks and stuff though and see if I can figure something out for you.

Well, turns out my sister isn't going on a cruise so she'll be here for Kumoricon. She wants to cosplay something else but I'm trying to convince her to go as Orochi Shermie. She's two inches shorter than me, petite and we look different but I still think it'd be fun. She says she doesn't want to make the costume but once I have Shermie's done it'd be easy for me to make hers, so I'll try and convince her then.

I've found my blue suit, which looks somewhat similar to Oswald's style, as well as some sunglasses that look A LOT like his. I pretty much just need to find some nice shoes and a pair of gloves, as well as figure out what to do with my hair. (Oh, and the cards will be no problem, either).

So does anyone think it will look weird if I opt to do the regular version of May Lee instead of her 'Hero' version with the longer gloves and cape???... just trying to finalize which variation I'm doing so I can order gloves and such.

Working on May Lee at this very moment... decided on her regular version since I feel more comfortable in a normal t-shirt as opposed to a tank-top. In the middle of painting the frog onto my shirt, and plan on doing another layer of yellow after it dries a bit before moving on to outlining and starting on the eyes.
Since I dropped my Arakawa cosplay I'm really trying to focus my time onto May Lee, getting to the point where I'm going to have to figure out how I want to do her glasses/goggles and belt though. UGHHHHH.

I won't be able to do Day 1 or 3, too many pre-planned things on those days.
I am pretty sure most of the people that are in my group are shooting for Day 2 as well as I am, but whatever is chill, I don't mind not making the meetup.

Well, if you guys wanna do it a different day too let me know~ i don't really mind what goes on, just myself and 4 of my friends probably won't show up if its another day since we all have other plans that didn't work out on any other days. As for times what would work better for ya'll? Maybe 6 or 7 for sunday? What about another day-
