Personally, i'd much rather read the manga and the online comics than the anime. The anime is just sort of an extra for me and it's kind of interesting seeing some of my favorite strips animated (seriously, i nearly died of happiness when Nekotalia was put into the anime), but all and all, the manga and web comics are way better, also considering that's where most of the Hetalia 'memes' come from (like, Russia's pipe, Shinatty-chan, the christmas bloodbath, Italy actually sleeping naked (which i was a little upset about that they didn't keep that in the anime), the 'in France' comics that spawned one of my favorate line in all of Hetalia, and many more that i can't think of at the moment).

I don't watch it because it's to short for me. I agree it's very funny and each style of the character represents the way the country acts is pretty cool to see but each ep is so short.

[Hm, I know this is straying off the subject but why do people who don't care an inch about Hetalia post on threads like these that support the series? I mean, what's the point? I never got that with other threads either. o_o; ]
Anywho, apologies for the random thought but OMG, I totally asked for this for Christmas!! I hope it'll be there under the tree~ Then I can fully enjoy it with my mom since she's familiar enough with the series after my constant mentionings of it. I do that a lot. xD

@Saki: *nod nod* Yeah totally! This is a fun fandom and even though it's crazy in popularity and some of the fans are... er, crazy as well, it should be treated like any other series out there: As a fan, celebrate it; as a non-fan, let it be. :3

I actually saw it at Uwajimaya today at the bookstore, walked out of the bookstore for 10 minute, came back and it was gone o.o
I'm thinking your best option would be to order it online rather than try and find it at the store (i've literally cheaked about 6 differant stores for that DVD and they didn't have it...). It's a very popular anime right now and people are going to be buying it like crazy if it's in stores.

Not that i know of, but there are a lot of countries that haven't been made into Hetalia characters yet.

If I remember my history correctly, Romania would be a possible character, since it was independent for most of this "peace time" in Europe. In fact, I think it was during this time that Transylvania officially joined Romania.
With this in mind, either there would be no Israel (since it was an Ottoman territory prior to and during WWI, and a British territory from then until a few years after WWII), or it would be called "Palestine."
