Hi my name is Brandon. Many of you may recognise me as Fanboy from this years Kumoricon. I've gotten quite a few private complaints about how loud, startleing and obnoxious they were and i wanted to apologise. I'm new to conventions and as such I don't really know what good Con edicate is. Many apologies to those who were scarred or annoyed by my fans. I'll take this as a learning experience and not bring them next year. also i apologise to anybody I may have incedentily offended due to being a loudmouth. that's stilla work in progress later all!

Well man, they didn't bother me but I can certainly respect that they may have irked others. Just glad to see 1) it wasn't made into a scene and was handled privately 2) you're stepping up to the plate and apologizing once you found out how it may have bothered other attendees.

I was only briefly startled by the sudden noise from your fans. As long as you refrain from playing with them, I don't see why you shouldn't bring your fans next year...

I was scared by the Fans several times but it wasn't a big bother to me.

I don't want to bring em next year bcause if I have em theres always that temptation to "Hey guys check this out!" Which is excactly what happened this year lol.

Dude, you did nothing to apologize for, that I know of. If people were whining about that, that's there problem. You did nothing wrong. Were they peacebonded? I'm not sure if it would've been needed, but at least asking about if you hadn't.

My bad, then! ^^; I've just always been easily startled...and that did kinda scare me...But heck, I used to CRY at the sound of a balloon pop! >.<;

Letting him know that the fans were startling you is fine, and perhaps that's what he was implying. It sounded to me like he was indicating that some people may have been pissed by the sounds.

Yeah, that's how it sounded to me as well...I just didn't say anything at the time... But I wasn't at all pissed... I could see it was meant as a joke... (I thought it was a pretty neat fan...never saw one that big before...)

if you had opened it more slowly it would of not made any sort of loud disruption.

At the time nobody was vehemently complaining and the people that were complaining were being very light hearted and easygoing about it as if it wasn't too serious. It's when con ended that the Sh$7 hit the "Fan". I got messages saying it was annoying and stupid and my friends ditched me saying they didn't want me at the next con we were going to go to.
