Kumoricon forums?
Because every two pages I get the internal server error thing. D:
Is this just meeeeeeeee?
-
Ya it's annoying it tends to fix itself though... but when it happens every 5 minutes...
-
Let me explain it with a metaphor:
The Kumoricon servers are like a plane.
And us the users are like snakes on said plane.
And the Error message is a little Samuel L. Jackson saying, " I want these motherf*cking snakes on this motherf*cking plane"
And us snakes are like, "No."
-
It is very annoying. :(
-
BEST METAPHOR EVER xDDD
-
maybe because there are more people than usual online?
-
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Whoa.
Whoa.

Lets get real for a second here.

As far as I know, it's not a capacity thing, I think it's just a
sick forums need some chicken noodle soup thing... we've never
had a capacity problem before... think about last year...
*memory flashback*
ARRHGG EVERYONE TO THE FORUMS TO RAAAAANT!!!!
Servers: Ok.
*end memory flashback*
I dunno what the problem is cause I am not sitting in front of the code or
running a diagnostic, nor am I are amazing tech support, but you can be
sure that Tyrill our amazing web master extraordinaire, is working diligently on
his baby, the website, and will get something figured out.
And I mean that in the nicest way possible, cause if I read that out loud,
it comes off a little snarky, and that wasn't my intent.
-
Yeah, the same thing happens to me too :/
-
Hurray it's not just me!!
-
For a moment there, I thought it was just me.
My internet likes to crap out.

It's really bugging me as well :I
-
Sometimes I get redirected to the main Kumoricon site... :-\
-
It's lag. Probably because it's aftercon now.
. . At least I hope. NEW USERS ARE GREAT AND ALL, BUT BEING ABLE TO NAVIGATE IS ALSO GREAT

I got this pre con, haven't had too many problems as of late though.

I wonder if some of the several hundred page threads are causing issues? I know on some forums I've visited, they've had to close extremely large threads and continue them elsewhere because they were slowing things down.
I'm not really sure if there's a way to monitor which threads take up the most resources a la Task Manager, so . . I imagine it's difficult to pinpoint something like this.
Luckily for me, I've never ran a forum that got so popular it required advanced tweaking of PHP/MySQL settings. ^^

hahahahahahha wtf Roscoe, that made me actually lol irl.
-
Earlier I made several changes on the server-side that should have greatly reduced the frequency of this problem. Sorry for last month, but it is time-consuming to diagnose these things. It still may happen occasionally, though.
-
It seems to be doing great now, 2 weeks before kcon and a few days afterwords though... Ya, just bad. Good work with the fix'n :)
