If you cosplay cute girls, you get an occasional creeper stalking you, but, if you crossplay a cute boy, you get endless amounts of fan girls and harems, and you feel like a pimp.

@jaybug - I think it's actually supposed to be Near; I know, it can get confusing sometimes. (On a related note, <-- no pun intended, why didn't they call Light Killer? Or use the Japanese word for killer, since the inability to speak moderately-decent English is too challenging for most Japanese voice actors? Kira? Really? It sounds like a little girl's name! That's sooooo scary...)

I had actually been thinking about why Kumoricon hadn't a boy mascot before (at least, I think there hasn't been... I looked through the galleries on the main site :D). And when the mascot/next year's location/et cetera was released, I was soooo happy! He's so cute. ;D Plus, he has white hair... and, I really like white hair. x)

The reason is because the mascot is determines by a vote from the con staff. This year just happened to be the first time that a male mascot idea was liked enough to win the vote.

Now that I have a good look at him, with the right areas to hunt in, his clothes and umbrella should be easily compiled together to form a cosplay of mighty, awesome, epic, and ultimate capacities.

If you plan to cosplay K-kun, please, please, PLEASE make sure to come around the artist's alley! The artists want your pictures. ALL of you. You'll be hunted down with a photographic scoping lens otherwise.
Quite frankly, I'm most interested in seeing how you guys pull off his umbrella-poof. It should be interesting. :3

Does anyone know if the other mascots have had names? All I know is that the lemur girl in 2008 was named Kuu.
