Title: FEEDBACK REQUEST: "How-To Mary Sue"
Post by: Besieged.Infection on September 05, 2010, 05:05:49 am
To those of which attended the panel "How-to Mary Sue" do any of you have any notes to make? Was I unorganized? Are you confused about anything at all? On a scale of 1 to 10 what was your enjoyment factor of the panel? Any comments about the order in which I conducted things, or any other comments at all about the panel, are appreciated.

I enjoyed the panel, especially the ennumerating of differing variations on the Mary Sue/Gary Stu, some of which readers might not ordinarily recognize as such.

You did well at fielding audience questions & input.

A hand-out with an outline would have been a nice touch, or a white board on which you could've written at least the clever titles for the variations.

Thanks! I'll look into finding a white board for next year. ^_^

We eventually got one (poor panel staff had to carry it down 16 flights of stairs!)
I will look around, maybe post on Craigslist, see if I can find one for next year, for all our cons.

I'm currently looking into whiteboard paper rolls to put up in my room.  There are several out on the market, along with whiteboard paint.  I am still looking around to see what if any are good enough, but instead of trying to find huge cumbersome boards paper (or painted paper) might be the best thing for a convention.  I have not even looked at prices, but I would think paper rolls would be cheaper then boards.
