Title: Friday Jobs?

Seriously, when I volunteered at the ComicCon that's what I did. You guys will need volunteers to take care of stuff on Friday right? Like sitting at a table and handing out badges or something while you guys run around and make sure people are here, right? Anyway, I figured since I'm up here near Portland anyway I can be at the Marriott as early as needed.

I suppose I'll just ask at the meeting when I get my pile of flyers.

I wanted to put this in a general volunteering thread but there wasn't one.
Hopoefully other people will want to volunteer to help Friday or maybe list jobs for that night?

That is, what time does the earliest staffer plan on being there and checking into the Marriott and letting them know
"IT HAS BEGUN!"

Because, like, that's when us volunteers would start showing up.
I think that 3 PM is the time I've heard. I don't know for sure.

I know some of us will be there earlier but not the officials.
Also if you're going to be volunteering you should be there to take part in the Security Meeting. Even if you're not volunteering for security. It will cover important guidelines for ALL officials to follow.

I'll actually be there at noon, and I'm sure that there will be others there before 7, just 7 is when we're going to start orienting people and putting them to work as well as doing pre-reg check ins.

Post by: tazmy on August 26, 2004, 11:38:36 am: 7 p.m. is when the volunteer meeting will take place. There will be lots of volunteer opportunities for set-up and registration on friday. Hope to see lots of you there. There will also be a general volunteer meeting on Saturday after opening ceremonies. We could use a lot of help, so if you want to volunteer email volunteer@kumoricon.org
