Thanks. One clarifying question, one clarifying comment.
(A) Do you have the details to convey, regarding whether, when Ops made the comparison, we were presently at approximately the same level of pre-reg's we were at this time last year, or whether this year we have significantly higher or significantly lower numbers?
(B) Only long (novel-length and novella-length) fanfics have deadlines in August. Short fics, manga, and webcomics can be turned in until 9pm on con-Saturday!
Thanks!

When we made the comparison we had a few hundred more pre-reg's than last year at this time.

Correction noted, thank you.
At the next meeting, the minutes will be offered for acceptance "as corrected."

Wow. Thank you both. Here are some thoughts as to why that might be, curious if folks agree: either we could take it as a sign that people are doing better financially, or conversely, that people need the discount more;
and/or, folks know we will have a size cap, and they don't want to be turned away at the door;
and/or, we are better advertising the option to and benefit of pre-reg, and folks are glad to avoid lines at the door;
but the main thing I notice is that this quashes any fears of folks staying away because of some folks' dislike of the con hotel.
