Seattle has won the vote to host the 2012 Westercon, which will be July 5-8 at the SeaTac Doubletree. In honor of the impending end of the world, the convention will be named ConClusion and the theme is "a step out of time". See the Web site (http://www.westercon65.org/) for more.
What's Westercon, you ask? It's the Western Regional Science Fantasy Conference, a travelling convention dating back to 1948. Every year it's held by a different group in a different location throughout western North America. Westercon is a general sf convention, embracing all forms of fandom, from books to movies, costuming, gaming, filk, and more. Hope to see you there!
