Title: Ahoge's!
Post by: Kimiski on July 14, 2010, 12:18:52 am
That annoying little piece of hair that defies gravity!

Does anyone have any good tutorials/tips for making one of these suckers for a wig?
Please and thank you.

For my ahoge-making, I use a clip-in waft type thing that I get from my local wig store: http://www.celebritystyleonline.com.au/store/human-hair-extensions/clip-ins/5-gram-individual-clip/20-remy-100-clip-in-human-hair-extension-6-medium-brown.html

I tie a thin wire to the base part where it connects to the clip, and shape the loose hair around the wire using this hairspray: http://www.walgreens.com/store/store/product/product_details.jsp?id=prod1184040

This is what the end result looks like: http://akayoru.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2w0obf

Have fun~ 8D

I warn against using most types of glue, as they usually dry to some amount of opaque. It distorts the color slightly, but if you hate that little tiny differences...
