My group is doing a mass amount of Naruto-ing the first day. We've got seven people doing that shinobi thang. So far we have a Tayuya, Kabuto, Haku, Sasuke, Itachi, Iruka, and an Inner Sakura. ^^
Anyone else gonna ninja at the con?

I'm going as Temari, in her new costume (ch 213), minus the giant fan. ^.^
I will be carrying two small fans though. The big fan is out due to safety reasons. (I can't ensure I won't accidently clip someone with it while running around on Security duty.)

I really should go as a Naruto since it's the best ever. My brother says I would make an excellent Hinata, which makes since, cause I look like her with short hair and I have her personality. I also am getting contacts, so I could have 'em made white.. So, yeah, I'll probably have two Hinata outfits made up. Hey, um, how old is the majority of your group?

I already have my Kakashi costume made. I hope to see all of you there! Just look for me in my Kakashi costume in a small group at this con. My nickname will be Kakashi of course, and I'll spend half of my time in the game room and in the DDR tournament. Ja mata!

Make origami hearts to fling at people, they're almost as easy to throw as shuriken! ^.^
Actually, if I get off my lazy butt and go down to the craft store, I could probably get enough red paper to make a few hundred shuriken hearts to throw. And I'd be bored enough in school to actually do just that! ^.^

I may end up crafting a large number of shuriken out of paper and duct tape (to make them silvery and easier to throw). They should nicely complement the hanging-bolt-and-wood kunai I have planned. Between the lot of them, I may very well end up the most armed-to-the-teeth ninja at the 'con...

Is there an east way to make Kunai? I'm gonna try just shaping some outta foam and painting them.

Shuriken are actually VERY easy. Just get some black construction paper and fold oragami pin wheels. They are safe, save Security headaches, and actually look fairly decent.
(Says the girl who collects live steel shuriken just to be authentic. ^.^; )

I'm going as Gaara, and two other people I'm going with are being Sasuke and Naruto, not sure what day we're wearing them, but if there's going to be big groups on the first day, we'll probably wear them that day :)

I know. But the fakes ones look lit, which is really cool, and don't taste like icky tabacco. ^.^
And have a tendency to freak me out because they look so realistic I'll go screaming and running across hallways to tell people to put out their cigarettes, only to find out they're fake. ^.^;

I'm gunna be Kankuro (with new make-up methinks). I'll be dragging around a friend dressed Karasu. I had a full sized Karasu made out of papermache the last time I wore the costume, but he kinda lost a few limbs...
I haven't seen a mention yet (but I also haven't looked very hard): Is there going to be a Naruto cosplay gathering of any sort?

That was me! :3 Karasu lost his feet the first day. I was so sad. The kept getting between my calves so I accidentally yanked them off. Who were you at Fanime? ^_^

Due to unfortunate baldness at a young age (I actually HAVE a bald spot at 18! WHY ME!!!!!!) I will probably wear a hat with it, less people should make fun of me (Flashback to my school days, ugh)).

Anyways, I am one of the many coming with Yari-chuu. I'm actually doing an original costume, so I won't look very familiar. Who I'm going as all depends on how I do my hair. :lol:
An original costume, for those of you with out the blessing of Animerica, is a costume not exactly like the original, but fitting the image and personality of the character instead.

Er, sorta. Except they sometimes look only a little like the actual character's outfit, and sometimes they only have little tweaks, like yours. But usually they're pretty intracate.
Usually on these, the tweaks are not made for safety or convienence, but more for originality. This is somthing that's really popular in Japan. Since there's so much cosplay going on over there, people get tired of seeing the same old characters over and over again.
So, they improvise. ^_^

I'v decided to just go with it and have my hair shaved off, so as not to look TOO weird.
So, if ya see a huge bald dude with a beard at the Con, thats gonna be me (I'll either have my Konoha headband or a Linkin Park hat on (Perhaps my Undertaker hat also)).
It seems I have some sort of weird boil growing on my head, I'll have to see a doctor ASAP (which'll most likely be after the Con), and have it taken care of. For now, I'll go with the bald route, since I planned to get it trimmed down anyways.

I realize this is very late, but wasn't able to post anything until now(was at my mother's who has no internet). Currently, my Haku costume is coming along although it will likely be done at the last minute(and hoping my shirt arrived in time too...) X_X. However, a contact I had over at cosplay.com said she isn't able to make me the mist headband in time so I'm wondering if anyone going has a spare mist headband that I can burrow or buy from them. I may not be able to post a reply(once costume is done, I'm likely going to be rushing to the con), so if anyone can do so, I'll be grateful ^_^.

Unfortunately, my mist headband is pure white instead of blue, to go with the "dead" theme of the rest of the outfit. Otherwise I'd be glad to lend it to you! ^_^

if i recall correctly, almost every other person was cosplaying as a naruto character. so many headbands >.<;;
