I'm done with this torture known as High School, and school all together until I go to college.
I got mah diploma last night. I was so happy, and still am happy. YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE HAPPY TOO. FOR SUMMER BREAK IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. ;DD
-
I take an online school and i finished a weeks worth of school in two and a half days! I'm also free! *highfive* untill the end of the summer at least ;w;
-
WOOHOO~ XD
-
GO MOTHER~
But I've been free sence late March, considering I'm a quiter and droped out of school for my G.E.D. ;o;

GAHIMAHAVETOTAKEANOTHERYEARORTWO;3;
lucky... I still have another week of finals. Which stress me out. And even then, i have another two years of high school to look forward to, so im basically gonna spend the whole summer banging my head against a wall muttering to myself about how, after years of work, ive somehow been handed a title that makes it sound like they SENT ME BACK TO GO DO NOT PASS GO DO NOT COLLECT TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS (junior).
Is it just me, or is this the point of high school where you WANT to let yourself feel like freedom is close, but know itd just break your heart when, after another year of work, you realize that you STILL havent finished and are starting to lose your momentum after some 13 odd years of school?
*sigh*
GED sounds nice about now.
-
well, I had to go through 5 years of high school, so Stray, if you turn 21 and your STILL in school, never fear for they will kick you out! A G.E.D. only gets you so far, a Diploma gets you farther.
-
Just to tell you college is easier the highschool. At lest in my opinion
-
i kinda figured. I'm taking a year off before I go to college

Except that you can go to community college with a GED, and once you have an associate's degree, no one will care that you don't have a diploma.
EDIT: In addition, about 95% of colleges and universities will accept GEDs in the place of a diploma, and you can also get federal financial aid with one. If you're somehow not able to complete high school, it's a very good idea to go out and get one.
-
^ True that! And once you're in college your Highschool grades don't matter at all.
-
I AM DONE WITH THE TORTURE KNOWN AS COLLEGE :D
-
kfc, don't drop out talk to your school guidance counciler, it Is possible to get a ged thru the school and that will save you money for the tests.
-
^Unfortunatly, I already dropped out about 3 months ago, taken the practice tests and past with 90% and higher.
And the best thing is.....considering the fact I'm not likely to fail, I won't have to spend $95 for every re-test. Which brings the total at $35, which I have worked off in the office.
My counciler actually sugjested the GED to me considering I only had 1 credit and I was in my Junior year. I moved a total of 6 times from Portland to Prinville (2 Years) back to Portland. And changed schools 3 times. There was no way in hell I was going to get up my credits.
Along with the credits, I missed a total of 200+ days of high school sence I started due to me getting ill 4 different times a month.
So that rendered finnishing school ALONG WITH BEING a super senior of 25 years old, basically hopeless. And I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have looked the best on a resume, were as a GED would show that I had problems with high school.
Sorry for the rant, but that's bascially the whole story. :0 I would have taken your advice long ago, but because of being sick so often through out the years, etc. By now it's just not possible.

Wait....really? So am I. Did you live in any of the dorms?
-
for me, a lot of people in my family were drop-outs so I'm the first kid to graduate since my grandparents graduated.
I myself am working for a year then going to PCC for two years and then transfering to OSU for the last two years, helps cut back on costs and is easier on mom and financial aid stuff. OSU wouldn't accept me currently with my current GPA so PCC should help bring that up.

One paper, one online section of math homework, and my math final still to do today. D<
-
Urgh... I had a final in EVERY CLASS today... XP it was stresssssy.
-
5 years Fal? Wow.
I'm geting my transcripts and if my mom signs the papers and do good in school still, Im graduating next year, as a Junior.

Well this is an odd school, and I dont wanna live without next years seniors, (considering everyone I basically groew up with),
and it just means I would be partisipating in the Senior Prank my Junior year, and since this is an alternitive art school I have nothing to really worry about.
