Never heard of them. Come to think of it, I don't know where Cedar Hills Crossing is.
-
Never heard of them. Come to think of it, I don't know where Cedar Hills Crossing is.
It's in Portland. I think it's on the western side, toward Beaverton. So it'd be, what, 30-40 minutes from you? Maybe I'm overestimating. I've only driven near Washougal, not to it.
-
3205 SW Cedar Hills Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005
this is the address
-
Thanks for the help, guys. I'll look into checking these guys out when I can.
-
I know have a PS3 to include on the list ;D

Ahh, technically in Beaverton. I never really learned where the boundaries lie. So many towns and cities right up against each other, all broadly labeled "Portland area."
Washougal:
You're welcome! Hope it turns out well.

Here's a big list. I'm going to do my whole household since some systems are family and others are my brother's.
Own:
2 PS2
2 Gamecube
2 Wii
1 Xbox
2 360
1 PS3
1 N64 (Pikachu version)
3 PSP (just sold two of them though...)
3 DS
2 Gameboy Color
1 Gameboy Pocket
2 Gameboy Advanced
2 Gameboy SP
Used to Own:
PS
PS1
SNES
Dreamcast
Sega
Played:
Just about every system ever made...
And I'm not exaggerating either.
My brother is a hardcore gamer. No school, no work. He owns one of every system listed up there in owned. (Except the xbox which he gave to me before I got my 360) He sits in his room every day, all day, and does nothing but game or build paper crafts.
Thanks to him, my family owns a vast amount of games and systems alike. On random days I'll go and sit in his room and just watch him play and sometimes he'll drag me in for Co-op or while I'm watching I'll randomly find a controller in my lap and start to play with him.
I remember the good old days when if a game didn't work you would just hold it to your lips and blow in it like a harmonica a few times and then stick it back in and it would work wonderfully.
-

PSP-2000 (Black/CFW)
PSPgo (Black)
NDS Lite (Black/Original Gen 1)
NDS Lite (Silver/Gen 2 w/ brighter backlight)
GBA SP (Silver)

Not sure if this counts, but I used to have a Commodore 64.

Not sure if this counts, but I used to have a Commodore 64.
I did too, though I didn't think to mention it.
And yeah, I say it counts, since about 98% of the programs we had for our C64 were games, and I very rarely saw it used as anything other than a way to play games. The closest we had to something productive was a typing tutor, which none of us liked when we were kids, even though it was supposedly designed for us.
Oh, and almost every program we had on file was copied from friends and relatives. My parents were pretty straight-laced, but it's funny that they indirectly encouraged us to be shameless pirates. I don't think they entirely understood what they were doing, since other people kept offering to copy disks for us, in an attempt to be helpful.
Oh, and copying a floppy was a very involved process, even more so if you only owned one disk drive. I was the designated copy person and it usually took me over half an hour, and I was prompted to swap disks about 10-15 times in the process. Isn't is AMAZING to use a computer that has a whole 64KB of RAM?
-
2 computers (only one works ATM)
2 PSP1000
PSP2000
GameCube
PS2
NES
Used to have a Nintendo 64 and an Amiga500. Hopefully I'll replace both one day.

I didn't even know you COULD copy onto a floppy like that!

You mean copy from one floppy to another without a hard drive in between? :)
Yeah, you totally can. Or at least you could on the C64, back when hard drives and dual floppy drives were uncommon. But for the reasons stated in my previous post, I would not recommend it. Not that you have any reason to even try.
What was actually more common back then was using a tape drive as a storage device. And yes, I mean an actual audio cassette. One of the features was to copy from a cassette tape onto a floppy, and vice-versa. My family never used a tape drive, though, because it was sooooo sloooooow.

Whoa... what people won't think of, even then...

Yeah, well, you know what they say: necessity is the mother of invention. :)
Audio cassettes could hold a lot of data (relative to the current technology), even though I believe it needs to be spaced pretty far apart to keep the magnetism from... er... "blurring," for lack of a better word (or a larger vocabulary).
Imagine booting up a video game and seeing text on your screen that tells you to literally "Press play on tape."
