Once again, we are looking to you for suggestions. Our first mini-event of the year will be a dance, April 24th, here in Portland.
The music will be general anime and dance (that seemed to be the most popular). What we are looking for from you is a theme/name for the dance... hey, we gotta call it something. Plus, buttons :D
Suggestions will be accepted until March 31st, so that we can announce by the first weekend in April. Organizers will decide from the suggestions made, buy feel free to pick a favorite.. there's just no guarantees that it will win.
The winning suggestion will get free entry into the dance.. and something else for fun (as soon as I figure out what it is :D)
You guys are a creative bunch.. so let's see what you've got.

kinda like masquerade only instead of masks you have to wear cat ears, this should be a super easy theme as any con attendee has a couple pairs of cat ears in their closets
and my younger brother suggests the truffle shuffle cuz yay oregon !

Not Dawn, but which one are you going for? The Dancing Cloud or the Cloud Dances? Drop the single O and make it "Odoru Kumo." The second one is fine.
Also, "Sugar High in the Clouds"?

It was more a "Dancing on Clouds" but as rust as I am, I couldn't figure out the correct action
connection... *sigh*

I don't know the word for it (I don't speak Japanese and I won't pretend I do, lol)
But when I'm at Kumoricon I feel like I'm on cloud nine and I'm sure lots of other people in their element too, so what about
'Cloud Nine'
(And I don't know the japanese translation of that other than Kumori means Cloud, soooo O.o; )

But when I'm at Kumoricon I feel like I'm on cloud nine and I'm sure lots of other people in their element too, so what about
'Cloud Nine'
(And I don't know the japanese translation of that other than Kumori means Cloud, soooo O.o; )

Last year we had a please don't let it snow dance. This year should we have a "Please don't let it rain dance?"

No jeans, thinking about a best-cat-ears-contest.
6-10, IIRC
$10 prereg, $15 at door. We provide water and snacks and concessions.
New location, Multnomah Arts Center, really nifty with back patio area if the weather is good.
