Our next General Meeting will be held Saturday (whoo hoo!), March 6, at 1:00 PM at the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB).
Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB)
500 E 4th Ave
Eugene, OR 97401
[Google map (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=500+E+4th+Ave,+Eugene,+OR&sll=44.055194,-123.085241&sspn=0.004827,0.010042&dirflg=r&date=02%2F24%2F10&time=5:13pm&ttype=dep&noexp=0&noal=0&sort=&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=500+E+4th+Ave,+Eugene,+Lane,+Oregon+97401&z=15)]
The nearest transit is Lane Transit District (besides Amtrak), and their website refers us to Google Maps for trip planning.
General meetings are open to the public. Meet and plan with other staff, join staff or become a volunteer, and learn about open staff positions. Bring interested friends!
This is the last meeting where 2009 members (staff) count -- to maintain continuity of membership, please sign up for 2010 no later than this meeting. If you can't make it, you may contact treasurer@kumoricon.org and secretary@kumoricon.org to make arrangements.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this meeting as I will be at the Memorial Coliseum playing with robots (http://www.oregonfirst.org/regional-event/)!
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me, email me, or call me.
If you'll be stuck in Portland March 4th through the 6th too, I invite you to come check out some robots too as the event is free and open to the public! ;D

a little too far for me
-
Very too far for me and likely anyone else who commutes from the Seattle metro area. The usual meetings are already about a full day (2/3 hours EACH WAY of driving plus meeting time).
-
yes Any one need me pleases pm , drive safe
-
I will have atleast 2 spots in my car if someone needs a ride(and doesnt mind a toddler) and can pitch in on gas.
-
Woo Hoo. I can attend this one. thank you for a sat meeting. I have 1-2 seats available if you want a ride.
-
Fairly certain I have to work this weekend :\
-
Wow that's actually in my city. I might go!
-
Woohoo!
With it being on Saturday, I think I can make this one... Seattle-Eugene is still a #$%@ of a drive, but if it's on a Saturday I only have to take off one workday for it instead of two.
And there are people in Eugene I haven't seen in too long. ^_^
-
can't make it to this, sakura-con is currently eating me.
-
For some reason Bressler, that made me think that you had been turned into a cake... and I
began to wonder what flavor cake you'd be...
Probably yellow buttercream with mint filling... familiar yet... odd in a good way.
We will miss you mr. man! But have fun working your butt off for Sakuracon and we will catch
you on the other side of april! ^_^

FYI on the front page of the website it says the date is "Sunday, March 6". It would've been better for me personally for it to have been Sunday, but I can be there 12:30 (hopefully meeting someone there early to work on things) to about 2pm. Then taking a band to Salem for a roller derby, of all things! Really!! (Anyone going? They're an awesome pirate/Celtic band btw.)

Oh sorry, this was in the list of tentative meetings. The dedicated news post did have it correct as Saturday. I just forgot to update the day of week in the earlier post as well as the date. It's now corrected.

I really want to go but I would need a ride. My usually drivers aren't going.
Anybody availbe to pick me up next Saturday?

How long of a drive is it to get down there from Vancouver?
I'd like to go, even be willing to chip in for gas money, but I'd need to be back in Vancouver by 7 so I can catch the last Camas/Washougal bus back home.

Google says.... 1 hr 51 min. Add in a potty break and a drive-thru meal, call it 2 1/2 hours?
-
Hm... so it sounds like leaving by 4 would be sufficient for getting home. Okay then, thanks for that. Anybody from the Vancouver area heading down there that can also give me a lift?
-
Hey guys, is anyone from Seattle planning on going? I know it is doubtful but I really need a favor if you are, there is something I need from Daiso brought down and if you could help me out I would totally pay for some of your gas money, for the trip. Please let me know by pm or e-mail if you are willing to help: leashy513@gmail.com
