I play whichever race I want to play, but I do best with Protoss. I've only been playing for a couple weeks so I anticipate I'll be getting a lot better and slowly honing my skill with Zerg over time.

Post by: DancingTofu on February 03, 2010, 07:02:46 am: So I've been playing on ICCup and 1v1 comp, and it's significantly more challenging than 2v6 comp without the launcher/patch. I can handle comp zerg alright, but I got absolutely destroyed by toss. Haven't tried Terran yet but I'm sure the flawless micromanagement of nuclear strikes, lockdowns, and yamato guns will be obnoxious at best.

I think my real downfall is limited resources. All the popular ICCup maps seem to be limited resource, and I always feel uneasy expanding without proper defenses. A decent base with no defenses costs 1100 minerals, so I'm not really fond of losing them, especially when resources are so scarce.

Post by: DancingTofu on March 06, 2010, 10:01:07 am: I've become fond of using Arbiters to sneak in a fleet of Carriers, then warp in a platoon of Archons. Although you don't really get much opportunity to macro against human players. I usually win in macro; it's the micro that gets me. Been getting better though because I've been speeding through the campaign and watching gameplay videos to improve my strats. Maybe eventually my execution will catch up with my strategic planning and I'll actually get good at this game. :P
